I'm a 57 years old Retired Nurse who lived in Canada for 34 years and just purchased a piece of the Atlantic Forest on the Mantiqueira Mountains.
Our focus is to create a Canadian Ecovillage in Brazil, where we use English as our first Language, so locals and people from non-speaking Countries may improve their English Language skills and Cultural Awareness while having a true Forestal Living Experience in our beautiful Reserve!!!💚 Our main focus is reforestation of pastures inside of the Atlantic Rainforest.🌱 We also have a variety of areas in need of assistance at this moment, such as to restore and reinforce the structure of our community kitchen and kennel, solve water leak around our main home, roofing, build new and restore old bathrooms, small construction projects, a lot of Carpentry, sewage, water capitation and Electrical issues fixing/ maintenance and supporting our ongoing Atlantic Forest Reforestation.💚🌱
We encourage people from all over the world to visit as a Work4Stay or Client in order to support and contribute with our projects. 5 hrs a day x 5 days a week or 4 hours a day x 6 day a week is a fair trade.🤝🏾 Do your work and go explore the Atlantic Rainforest!🌴 Boots, long pants long sleeves, sunglasses, large hats and gloves are necessary for safety reasons. *Please be aware: Snakes and many others venomous and/or dangerous creatures, are everywhere in the forest!🐍🦂🕷🦟🐝🐸🐒🐅🦧🐆

We don't cook for guests but we encourage visitors and campers to participate during meals preparations and social other activities such as hiking, swimming or being around the firepit on cold evenings. For your protection, please bring long neck boots, gardening gloves, hats, sunscreen and a must have, rain coats. Be aware that forest living offers many perks, but can be dangerous as well. We are able to accommodate SINGLES only in our shared dorm for Volunteers, but are open for couples that have own tents, Vanhomes or don't mind sharing our bunk dorm with other Volunteers.
