    Mupya!

We are a community-rooted social enterprise and regenerative learning farm in Coron, Palawan, Philippines.

Over the years, this place has evolved from an organic and integrated farm into a learning, demonstration and regenerative tourism LiveLab where agriculture, nature, communities, education and tourism come together.

Today, we are entering an exciting new stage.

Our vision is to continue developing as a Living Laboratory for Regenerative Island Futures—a place where practical ideas in regenerative agriculture, Nature-based Solutions (NbS), biodiversity, climate resilience, community livelihoods and regenerative tourism can be explored, tested, demonstrated and shared.

Our approach is Ridge-to-Reef. We recognize that what happens on the land eventually affects our watersheds, rivers, mangroves, coastal ecosystems, communities and reefs.

We do not claim to have all the answers. A LiveLab is a place for learning. We are continuously testing, adapting and improving—and we welcome people who would like to contribute to that journey.

WHO WE WOULD ESPECIALLY LIKE TO MEET
Alongside volunteers interested in farm life and cultural exchange, we particularly welcome people who can share professional skills, experience or connections in areas such as:

    - Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and climate resilience
    - Regenerative agriculture, agroforestry and permaculture
    - Biodiversity, conservation and ecosystem restoration
    - Watershed, river, mangrove and coastal management
    - Regenerative and sustainable tourism
    - Community development and social enterprise
    - Research, monitoring and impact measurement
    - NGO, foundation and international development work
    - Grant and partnership development
    - Project development and proposal writing
    - Communications, storytelling, photography and filmmaking
    - Digital marketing, graphic design and content development
    - University and research collaboration
    - Fundraising and impact partnerships

We are particularly interested in meeting volunteers who can help us connect the farm with universities, NGOs, foundations, development institutions, researchers, responsible businesses and other potential collaborators whose work aligns with our vision.

You do not necessarily need to be an expert. What matters to us is curiosity, initiative, willingness to share knowledge and a genuine interest in creating positive impact.

If you have professional experience, academic knowledge, organizational networks or simply an idea that you believe could contribute to what we are building, tell us about it when you contact us.

Our goal is not simply to receive volunteer help.
We want Workaway to become part of the exchange of ideas, knowledge, cultures and connections that can help the farm —and the communities and landscapes around us—move toward a more regenerative future.

Think Global. Test Local. Regenerate Together.

Volunteering is intended to be a two-way exchange of knowledge, culture and experience.
Volunteers have the opportunity to experience life in a rural community in Coron while learning about integrated and regenerative farming, organic agriculture, agroforestry, composting, aquafarming, local food systems and farm tourism.
Beyond the farm, we share our evolving experience in regenerative tourism, Nature-based Solutions (NbS), community-based initiatives and our Ridge-to-Reef perspective—understanding how farms, watersheds, rivers, mangroves, coastal ecosystems, communities and tourism are interconnected.
We also enjoy learning from our volunteers.
Researchers, students, professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs and travelers bring different perspectives from around the world. We encourage conversations, experimentation and knowledge sharing where both our local team and our volunteers can learn from one another.
For those interested in sustainability, development or regenerative tourism, this place can become a small real-world learning environment where global ideas meet local realities.
Come not only to experience Coron—but to learn with us, share with us and leave something meaningful behind.

Our farmhouse is nestled in a peaceful village, away from the busy town of Coron. It's a serene retreat where you can enjoy a slower pace of life, surrounded by nature.

    Here's what our place offers:

    Facilities:
A farmhouse with a kitchen, bathroom, dipping pool, and a working area equipped with electricity.
A private room is available, but we encourage the traditional experience of sleeping on mats/foam with mosquito nets, which many volunteers enjoy.
Internet connection is available, though it's not very fast due to the rural location.

    Food and Cooking:
You’re welcome to pick and cook produce from our farm, including fresh vegetables, herbs, and fruits.
We provide an open kitchen where you can prepare your own meals.
Occasionally, we enjoy group meals as a community, which is a wonderful way to bond and experience our “bayanihan” tradition of sharing.

    Optional Contributions:
If you’d like to join the staff meals, you’re welcome to contribute voluntarily to the actual cost of food.
Alternatively, you are free to source and prepare your own food if you prefer.
Transportation to the farm from Coron town can be arranged if needed. You may hire private transport, or we can facilitate the trip through our staff for a small contribution toward gas expenses. This is entirely optional, and volunteers are welcome to arrange their own transportation if they wish.
We aim to make your stay enjoyable, meaningful, and flexible to your needs.

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this beautiful experience together!

    Algo más...

To anyone interested staying to our farm house it would be ideal to have a motorbike as a regular transport. This will provide mobility if he/she wants to get to town to take island tours. Once at the farm there are mountain bikes available too for use to buy stuff in the nearby stores.
