Hello everyone,
My name is Tizia, I am a 32 years old German and I have lived in beautiful Tanzania for almost a decade. I run a villa and a tour operator in Arusha. Most of my guests are short-term guests since they start safari and hiking trips from here. My accommodation is located in the north of Arusha city, at the slopes of beautiful Mt. Meru.
Additionally to my villa and the tour operator I founded an NGO to support local projects with volunteers and interns from abroad. They also stay at my villa, so it's always busy at my place! Staying with me will give you an inside in Tanzanian culture as well as running an accommodation and an NGO.
I have three beautiful children that I am raising on my own.

You will live in the villa with our guests and volunteers and you will be in daily contact with the locals I work with.

This was a tough workaway for us. As is listed in a few other reviews, the wife/owner of the place is in Germany while her husband/owner is local. She is a very skilled film maker and helped us getting awesome videos of the hostel and our projects.
She truly became a friend and it's sad that she has to leave us.

I had a very nice time working for Tizia. It was great to have such a variety of different tasks. I feel like I definitely learned new and interesting things. I also felt comfortable because the people of this project are all very nice. Thanks again for having me :)

It was a pleasure working with Janina.
She helped us doing fundraising for a pre-school which we plan to build.
Furthermore she corrected texts for a website, and since she studied English that was very helpful as well.
