  - Establishing pillars and applying planks;
  - Painting and decorating the fence.
  
  Greetings! We are Joonatan and Agnessa, married Christian couple, we have a small homestead here in South Karelia. We have a garden and some farm animals. Our place is located 60km from Lappeenranta, but once a week we visit Helsinki which is 2 hours of drive. I like to build and mostly use traditional methods. I'm able to build log or frame houses, and other. I'm working in a building company. My wife Agnessa studied at art school, she can paint, she knits and learning to make threads from wool of our sheep, also baking sourdough bread. She does some wood carving sometimes and interested on different things. Agnessa can't work officially due some health issues, she's either not getting any benefits.
  We eat all, but we are following religion fasting traditions, and we're not demanding visitors to follow them. So the food we offer varies by the day. We try to grow our food, and aim to self-sufficiency in the future. We're also learning simple life and establishing a new off grid base in more remote place near our current house. We are home sitting people and all our activities, beside visiting church, mostly focuses on our homestead routine. Can't offer much entertainment. There's not a TV either... But we can offer our company. Also we'd be glad to share our experience and learn something new. It feels we are not fitting to live more modern and city life tho we tried, and we see our "perfect" life as a tiny commune of few families, with a church, where we are not using much machines, but horses for working on land and forest, we go to closest village by a horse carriage and bring our goods we produce and buy things we can't make ourselves, living very slow and modest life. We are looking for a people in a way like us, and who is thinking alike. Or people who are just willing to help us. Perhaps, if you are too social and need a connection with big cities, or seeking for a party, you'll be bored here. We are quiet people, in a way. I speak Finnish, English and my wife speaks English and Russian.

  We sometimes go in the forest, picking berries, mushrooms or going for fishing, you are always welcome to join or do all this alone in peace.
  Beside, we are learning new skills all the time, and if you are interested, would be sharing with you what we know already.
  We have Icelandic moss growing on the plot, you can pick it for yourself if need(not for sale).
  As we are duo national couple we can share both Finnish and Russian traditions.
  If you want to come for long period of living, like a year, then it's better to come in spring, so we can grow more things for upcoming winter :)

  In general we would like help with gardening, here and there things, chores, building related help, firewood making, clearing forest, based by season.
  
  Our sketch of duties for spring 2026 is to make a goat proof garden fence;
  Making firewood for next winter;
  Working on tiny cottage we started to build a year ago;
  Clearing forest on the area where living house will be (cutting trees, taking bark of the logs, burning branches).
  Prepare soil for planting and plant crops.

  Alojamiento

  There's a separate clean room(approx 15m²) with a door in the same house we live. Big kitchen with wood oven and stove, dishwasher and kitchen machine, which can be used for cooking. We also have electric stove for warm seasons. You also can use shower any time, we warm sauna once a week. Ask if have any questions.

  If you have your own house on wheels, we can offer a spot of wilderness next to a lake, but it's not that close to our living house, so you'll be mostly alone there. There's not much space next to our homestead, but might find a spot there as well.
