English architect living in NY but working around the world. I have a house at the beach in Montauk, Long Island, one of the prime beach destinations in the North East, famous for surfing, fishing and wild life. It is in Montauk that I am looking for work away guests, not New York
The house backs onto a golf course so is very peaceful and private but a ten minute drive to the beach and 5 minutes to the town centre.
Surfing, fishing, paddleboarding, riding are all easily accessible and the social scene is diverse from hip, lively bars and restaurants to quiet seafront sunset views. Obviously, being a beach community, things are much quieter over the winter months.

The opportunity to experience a US beach destination, mix with the NY summer crowd, learn to surf and fish and be able to easily access all that Manhattan has to offer.
The house has a reasonable size garden which needs maintenance and planting and the house needs ongoing maintenance as I’m not there full time.
