  Hello,
  we - that is Thomas & Katharina, our 4 cats Bjalfi, Mimir, Sonce, Flynn welcome you to our little paradise in the heart of slovenia.
  
  4 years ago we left austria with our cats, and travelled all over europe together, in our beloved 46-year old van "Funky".
  Some big adventures we all went through!
  But one thing what we learned is, that you can never plan a Journey or even life - because everything can happen!
  Before we were able to visit our dream destination sweden by van Thomas had a big accident and we had to change our plans.
  So we found a really nice family here in slovenia before - via Workaway - became friends, and there we stayed 2 years and helped them.
  As we both realized how much we love this country and all about it, we started to search for properties... And yes... now we found our little paradise.
  
  Our plan is to build up our self-sufficient farm here, soon get some chickens, and later also sheep or goats.
  Create gardens where you feel like in paradise, "old" vegetable sorts should find there home here again, also a lot of fruit trees, etc. should be planted.
  As we have our own vineyard, people who know about organic wine growing are really welcome!
  A lot of help renovating the house will be needed, so if you are up for that, let us know too :-)
  
  For us the most important is, that we have a great time together, meet new nice interesting people from all over the globe, and also learn new things.

  As we both are from austria we can teach you german, If you are interested.
  
  We can show you how to make your own essential oils, soaps, cremes, and a lot more, as we really like to work with nature.
  We both love to cook, so would be great if we can share some recipes, or also cook together.
  We make jewelry out of stones, bones, wood, all you can imagine, also copper jewelry - so if you are interested in learning that, there is for sure time to do that!

  Where we need help...?
  As Thomas works abroad and I am alone at home from mo-fr and we have to renovate the first room of the house till winter there is a lot of wood working, helping with clay inside, sanding the old wooden floors, changing windows, building DIY kitchen furniture, etc.
  But also outdoors a lot of help is waiting for motivated hands - gardens need to be built, a chicken-coop and a fence for them, cleaning around the house, gras cutting, weeding the garden,...

  We both need to learn Slovenian, so if you can teach us that - great!

  Alojamiento

  As we just bought the place and inside the house all needs to be renovated, at the moment we can only take workawayers who are OK with sleeping in a tent on our property. So now we can only welcome you in warm summer months.
  In the garden is a compost toilet, an outdoor shower (water is heated by sun) and an outdoor sink where you can brush teeth, etc.
  You are allowed to use our washing machine to make your laundry.
  We can provide tents, duvet, pillows etc. for workawayers!
  
  Cooking:
  Breakfast - lunch - dinner
  Normally I make a weekly plan for cooking and we go food shopping once a week.
  So if you are interested to visit us, we should talk about food, also tell us If you are vegetarian, vegan, .. ! And we will find a way how we can enjoy great meals together!
  We also like to cook together with you, if you are up for that.
  We can provide tents, matrace, duves, pillows for workawayers.

  Our farm is located in a really hilly area, Not with a Lot of houses around - actually we only have 1 neighbour.
  Here you can enjoy nature, and the surroundings, go for a hike, or check out the area by bicycle.
  I would recommend our place to people who love to be in nature, and who Like to watch the stars at night, and not those who search for nightlife and party :).
  Closest citys are Ptuj and Maribor.
