The property is 1,5 hectares sitting in a breathtaking natural spot in the Quercy region well known also for it gastronomy.

The setting is very peaceful and quiet; There are many walks through the woods, with big open fields and charming medieval villages to visit around.

The surrounding area is hills and valleys. Enjoy a quite stunning views and stargazing in a part of the Dark Sky Reserves.

Take a breath of fresh air here and smell the wild flowers in the orchard on spring and summer time.

I’d say It’s nature lovers paradise .

What you would potentially learn once you are here:

Handling with wood. Organic & permaculture gardening. Recycling economy. Organic farming, Fertilizing of the garden and fruit trees without chemicals - compost, sand, organic fertilizer, plantbased slurry for spraying on trees and plants.

Sometimes I do Yoga in the mornings or evenings where you are welcome to join.

Once a months I host a dance class in the evening with a dinner where you can join for free if you like.

We have home plenty of instruments that can be used and are always looking forward an unpredictable jam. There’s a big pool as well at the farm which is accessible to the volunteers at anytime.

We are 30 minutes away from a wonderful village in the mountains along the river where you can enjoy hiking, kayaking and climbing with a stunning view & lots of other fun things to see. 

You will be part of the workaway volunteer team, and after you leave, you can stay in touch with everybody else and see the progress of what you started in order to still feel connected if you like.

***I want you to have fun while you’re here and believe in honest communications with our helpers. If there are chores & tasks you love to do more than other, please tell us!   It would be great to have experience with that! Let's do this together.

Help is needed with general tasks such as

1.Lots of cutting & splitting firewood 
2. Fruit Trees harvest
3. Cleaning including sweeping, vacuuming, windows cleaning, dusting 
4. Painting walls 
5. Keeping the undergrowth in the woods around clear 
6. Building picnic tables and fire rings.
7. Creating indoor/outdoor bathroom & kitchen/ barbecue  
9. Create a safe water irrigation for all fruit trees  
10. Preserve a stone wall in the garden  
11. Gathering and building stone walls, planters and benches
12. Sanitary installations
 13. Building a shelf and closets in both rooms
14. Installing floors / doors / mirrors
15. Carry furnitures
16. Demolishing a garage and build a new one
17. Help with the waste disposal/recycling tasks
18. Working both independently and as a fun team
19. Create a new BIOTOPE.
20. Install an IRRIGATION SYSTEM in the big garden
21. Create a PERMACULTURE garden - The SOIL needs to be prepared for vegetable growing. *
22. Install a PERGOLA.   
24. The pathway needs some new CREATION
25. Building a natural SWIMMING POOL from the previous one.

 
It is mostly physical work involved, often demanding, so you have to be in good shape and like these things...

Beautifully situated in the mountains with lots of hiking trails right outside our doors. We’re at the top of a quiet little village, just a mile away, with a cafe-grocery where to get some pastries or cheeses and charcuteries of the region or take a little walk down to the medieval castle where you can enjoy a wine tasting.

Food is provided free at home. Private bedrooms can be arranged.

I’m a quite epicurean, you will be cared for properly during your stay, with traditional French, Asian and Mediterranean diet mostly.

For cooking & cleaning, help is always welcome ! Nevertheless we expect your help everyday in mantaining the house clean and washing your dishes after meals.

 Please note: The constraints of cooking for just a few people means it is not really possible to cater for strict vegan or individuals with special dietary limitations or allergies.

 Washing machine on premises and we use indoor & outdoor clothes lines.

We ask that you volunteer 5 hours for 5 days a week in exchange for food, lodging and fun things near us.

  Summer : Our typical day is 9 am to noon, then break for lunch and fun. Then 5 to 7 pm

Winter : Our typical day is 9 am to noon, then break for lunch. Then 2 to 4 pm After that, your time is your own.

 Our schedule includes trips to the marketplaces and are quite flexible, we mostly buy when it’s needed but we try to go there at least one per week - and you're always welcome to come!  

Helping days are usually Monday through Friday, but it can change depending on what we could happen in the day to day life but we’ll always ensure you have two days break in the row.

Kindly understand, we mostly appreciated you to stay at least 1 month - ONLY FOR PEOPLE applying on AUTUMN/WINTER SEASON
