My husband and I live in a nice three bedroom house in beautiful Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Victoria is an international tourist destination with lots of tourist sites and surrounded by sea and nature. Our cat "Pookie" passed away and now a bunch of different birds have decided to make our backyard their hangout.

Learning about a unique way of living. Assisting me with community affairs in our city. I am the president of a non profit organization. Learning organic urban gardening and cooking. I'm a great cook (as long as I can instruct you) and love to have friends over for dinner!

I am an activist in my community and often need assistance to do my volunteer work.
I am asking travelers to be fully vaccinated. I find strong perfume can really affect my breathing so I ask for minimal or zero use please.

You will have access to the whole house and yard. You will usually share a bedroom especially when there is an overlap - when guests are arriving and leaving.

We provide food and accommodation.

Bus service is nearby which takes you downtown or out of town. Butchart Gardens is a world class tourist attraction. World class museum is downtown.

Lots of art and culture in Victoria.

Hiking trails, bicycle trails and nature very close by. City of flowers! Ferry rides to nearby Vancouver or the USA.

I stayed in Canada 2 years with VWH. First time i met Joanne and Dale was décembre 2017 and i stayed some Times with them to help. I go back in 2018/2019 and i hope i could go back again!
The y are both very Kind people. And Joanne knows à little french as i knew à little english so she learn me a lot!!
