Generations, after generations, this lands have been carved, it has been given different uses, changes have been made and lifestyle has changed. And in that we are still, with new plans and projects.
There are different areas within the farm: - Park: there are areas of conservation and reforestation, we are working on walking trails and an artificial lake. Here we need volunteers help taking care of the maintenance of the native trees plantations and nursery. - Dairy: in where there are breeding cattle and horses, volunteers don’t work here, only in case of need veterinary/agricultural practice or have a lot of experience with horses, like cleaning, dressage, etc. - Houses: where the orchards are, garden, greenhouse and farm animals (ducks, chickens, geese, sheeps, dogs and cats), everything organic, where volunteers help, as well in the area of the hut and fruit orchards, one of cherry trees in the same farm and another of hazelnuts in a different farm.
To 15 minutes walking there is a beautiful beach of the lake, where after a good day, let’s relax, if the weather allows it.
We are 60 km from Osorno and 80 km from Puerto Varas, a tourist destination excellence. They are also in the area: Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, Osorno Volcano, Puerto Octay, Frutillar, Cascadas, etc. And different activities, like canopy, rafting, fishing, hiking and many other activities that take place in the lake basin. 2 km away walking from the farm there is a bus stop, which goes to Osorno or Cascadas.

We are a modern family living on the farm, we like peace and a little the loneliness, we know about city life style, but our choice has been living here, and it’s a bless. We have interaction with the volunteers at the labor hours, if it allow us, and at the lunch, where the most interesting conversations happen. Sometimes we invite the volunteers to know the surroundings or to a local festivity. Of course you will have interaccion with the other volunteers (max 4), where the most beautiful friendships have bloom. Here you can learn about patience, repetitive labors (meditation for us), to wait until the nature make her magic and so the soul becomes peaceful. If you get desperate with yourself, this place is not recommendable.

  • Alojamiento

    Alojamiento

There is a independent house for the volunteers, basic, but homy. It have a bathroom with hot water, a kitchen/dining room with gas stove and slow combustion stove, a 2 double bedrooms. Here is no internet acces. There is also a laundry area outside the volunteers house.
We give the volunteers clean sheets (you have to return them the same way), toilet paper and cleaning stuff, so you can keep your place clean and organized, because is your responsibility to have it, in that way (it’s a work that you have to do outside your labor hours). We have also towels in case you need it.
About the food, we give you all the basics, mainly vegetarian (like pasta, rice, potatoes, vegetables from the orchard or/and bought, legumes, quinoa, dry fruits, oats, salt, sugar, honey, butter, flour, spices, seeds, oils, etc). Any exclusive ingredient for any specific diet (a lot of any fruit, special milks, special flours, drinks, etc.) it’s purchased by the volunteers. The volunteers cook the breakfast and the dinner in their home by themselves. Sometimes we eat all together the lunch and it work in this way: 2 or 3 persons, with the kids, go to the main house to cook, finishing the lunch, the people who doesn't cook clean the dishes, and all together leave everything clean and in order (all of this, outside the lunch time and after lunch time, are working hours). We are really happy when the volunteers cook for everybody at the lunch time their local/typical meals, in that case we bought special ingredients to share.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s important a minimum stay of 2 weeks, to learn, understand and realize the different tasks properly, and in that way see changes. For example, if the first week you plant a seedbed, it’s probably that you will see the germination of them, in one or two weeks later, and so, learn how wonderful it is to see birth and life.
