  Escape the City, Embrace the Land: Join our Family as a Workawayer
  
  Note: We are looking for a person or couple. During this time, we’ll be away for about 1.5 weeks, and we’ll need someone to house-sit while we’re on leave.
  
  Welcome to our little slice of countryside paradise! We're a family of four—two adults, two adventurous little explorers (Louie, 4, and Flora, 2)—living on a couple of acres where we’re crafting a life as sustainable and self-sufficient as possible. We follow Permaculture principles where possible.
  
  We’ve been Workawayers ourselves, spending time on five different countryside locations, learning, helping, and soaking in the joy of simple living. Now, we’re offering the same opportunity to fellow travelers who want to be part of something meaningful, work with their hands, and enjoy the fresh air.
  
  What You Can Expect
  
  🥕 Farm-to-Table Lifestyle – We grow our own food and tend to our beloved chickens and ducks. Be part of harvesting, planting, cooking our own food and caring for the animals while learning how to live more self-sufficiently.
  
  👶 Family Life in Motion – Life here is lively with two little ones running around! If you enjoy being part of a warm, family-oriented environment, you'll love joining our household. We both work 4 days a week (at the office or from home) and the children go to school/ daycare. Don't expect us to be around all the time.
  
  🚴 A Gateway to Exploration – While we enjoy country living, we’re not entirely off the map! You can bike to Amsterdam in just over an hour or hop on public transport for any major city. It’s the perfect balance between rural peace and urban adventure.
  
  🌿 Outdoor Living & Building Projects – Whether it's helping constructing a poly tunnel, support in repairing a chicken coop, or working on new fun (art) projects such as creating a tent of bean stalks, there’s always something exciting happening. We spend every spare moment outside, working on projects that shape our home and lifestyle.
  
  🏡 A Workaway Host Who Gets It – We know what it's like to arrive in a new place, eager to help and learn. We've been in your shoes, and we want to make your experience here fulfilling, fun, and full of growth.

  📖 Sharing Stories & Learning Together – Since we've worked in different places as Workawayers before, we love exchanging. stories, hearing about your travels, and learning from each other.

  We welcome Workawayers who are eager to roll up their sleeves and embrace hands-on living! The kind of help we're looking for includes:
  
  🌱 Gardening & Food Growing – Helping us plant, weed, water, and harvest our fruits and vegetables. We want to expand our self-sufficient lifestyle, so any green thumbs (or willing learners) are welcome!
  
  🐔 Animal Care – Feeding and tending to our chickens and ducks, collecting eggs, and ensuring they have a healthy, happy environment.
  
  🏡 General Help Around the Property – Tidying up outdoor spaces, organizing tools, and keeping things running smoothly.
  
  👶 Family Assistance – If you like spending time with kids, Louie and Flora would love an extra person to play with, explore, and help with small tasks. We’re not asking for babysitting, but we appreciate anyone who enjoys being around children.
  
  🔨 Building & DIY Projects – We always have something to work on, whether it's building new supporting structures, or repurposing materials for creative projects. If you enjoy carpentry or general handywork, you'll also fit right in! Note: for professional jobs we hire professionals, we don't see your support as a substitute.
  
  The help will be flexible and adapted to what you feel comfortable doing. We’re looking for enthusiasm and willingness more than expertise! Let’s create something special together.

  Your Home Away From Home
  
  We want our Workawayers to feel comfortable and at ease while staying with us. Here’s what you can expect:
  
  🏡 Private Bedroom & Bathroom – You’ll have your own private bedroom, complete with a double bed and a small bathroom with a shower. It’s attached to our living room/kitchen, where we typically gather for (vegetarian) meals, chat about the day, and relax together.
  
  🌱 Living with Nature – Our land is being developed for sustainable living, and you'll be surrounded by a beautiful vegetable garden, two greenhouses, and a fruit orchard. There’s even a big treehouse, a small forest, and a tiny lake.
  
  🚐 Campervan Spot Available – If you prefer bringing your own home on wheels, we have a dedicated parking spot for campervans (up to 7.5 meters). Also, if you prefer sleeping in a tent choose your preferred spot in the garden.
