We live in a village in the Odenwald in an isolated house very close to nature with animals and a garden. I am a single mother with 2 children 14 and 12 and we have two cats, two dogs, four chickens and three horses. However, we are a large family, at the weekend my sister comes from town with her 3 children and my parents live around the corner with my brother and a foster child. We are a very open family that has lived abroad a lot. We like to eat in large groups and play music. We also love self-sufficiency, my mother has a huge garden and lots of chickens. I myself am concerned with alternative forms of living, as close to nature as possible.

Wir leben in einem Dorf im Odenwald in einem alleingelegenen Haus sehr naturnah mit Tieren und Garten. Ich bin Alleinerziehende Mutter mit 2 Kindern 14 und 12 und zu uns gehören zwei Katzen, zwei Hunde, vier Hühner und drei Pferde. Wir sind allerdings eine große Familie, am Wochenende kommt meine Schwester mit ihren 3 Kindern aus der Stadt und meine Eltern wohnen um die Ecke mit meinem Bruder und einem Pflegekind. Wir sind eine sehr offene Familie, die viel im Ausland gelebt hat, wir essen gerne in grosser Runde, machen Musik. Ausserdem lieben wir die Selbstversorgung, meine Mutter hat einen riesigen Garten und viele Hühner. Ich selber beschäftige mich mit alternativen Wohnformen, möglichst naturnah.

With us you can find out something about alternative living and living and try it out. I build a lot myself out of wood, we can decorate the trailer together and I also felt large tapestries. You can learn a lot about the garden from my mother and if you want, you can work with the horses with me, even ride them bareback. A lot of international music is played in my family. At the weekend we can do something together, castles in the Odenwald, nature hikes and museums. In the evening we can sometimes play games together or we build a fire every now and then.

Bei uns kannst du etwas über alternative Wohnen und Leben erfahren und dieses ausprobieren. Ich baue viel selber aus Holz, wir können gemeinsam den Bauwagen verschönern und ich filze auch grosse Wandteppiche. Von meiner Mutter kannst du viel über den Garten lernen und wenn du möchtest, kannst du mit mir mit den Pferden arbeiten, auch reiten, ohne Sattel. In meiner Familie wird viel internationale Musik gemacht. Am Wochende können wir gemeinsam etwas unternehmen, Burgen im Odenwald, Naturwanderungen und Museen. Abends können wir manchmal zusammen Spiele machen oder wir machen ab und zu ein Feuer.

Ayuda
There is always something to do in our little garden. If the weather is mild :-) , prepare the beds, repair the greenhouse, improve the yurt, etc. I am very happy about daily help with our 3 horses/ponies, that would be mucking them out and putting them out to pasture. If you could teach my two children some English, that would be great. Otherwise you could also chop wood, do small jobs around the house or help my mother in the huge garden. None of this is a must, but rather you get involved where your strengths are. If you are good with children/young people, that would be great.

In unserem kleinen Garten ist immer etwas zu tun. Wenn das Wetter mild ist :-) , Beete vorbereiten, Gewächshaus reparieren, Yurte ausbessern ect.
Sehr freue ich über tägliche Hilfe bei unseren 3 Pferden/Ponys, das wäre misten und auf die Weide bringen.
Wenn du meine beiden Kinder etwas in Englisch unterrichten könntest, wäre das ganz toll. Sonst könntest du auch noch Holz hacken, es gibt kleine Arbeiten rund ums Haus oder meiner Mutter im riesigen Garten helfen.
Das ist alles kein Muss, sondern du bringst dich dort ein, wo deine Stärken sind. Wenn du mit Kindern/ Jugendlichen gut kannst, wäre das super.

Du wohnst in einem wunderschönen Bauwagen mit Holzofen, das heisst du musst Feuer machen und morgend ist es auch etwas Kühler. Aber er ist gedämmt. Du hast eine eigene schöne Küche und eine komfortable Komposttoilette. Dusche ist bei uns im Keller.
Ich kann dir zum Beispiel Sachen für das Frühstück kaufen, Mittagessen machen wir gemeinsam oder bei meiner Mutter.
Wenn du möchtest kannst du die Jurte als Meditations und Yogaraum nutzen. Es gibt wohl Internet über die Steckdose, gerne kannst du auch bei uns im Haus Zeit verbringen.

Darmstadt is half an hour away by car, so you can immerse yourself in city life, but it takes an hour by bus. The connection is very good.

Darmstadt ist eine halbe Stunde mit dem Auto entfernt, da gibt es die Möglichkeit in das städtische Leben einzutauchen, mit dem Bus brauchst du aber schon eine Stunde. Die Verbindung ist sehr gut.
