Hi all :) We are the a group of friends with a crazy wonderful idea and you can be part of it!

We have a big land next to Feytroun. We started to develop something like an eco-village here about 2 years ago and we have plenty of ideas to make it be a little piece of heaven on earth.

Our land is a kind of mountaineering park with big boulders and trees all around and only a short hour ride from Beirut: a 30,000 m2 playground for outdoor enthusiasts. People come here to escape from the crowd, the rush of life, the negativity. They meet friendly down to earth people, clear their mind, connect with nature, read, meditate, listen to music, watch the sunset and the sunrise.

There are already a lot of people, all in our late 20's/early 30's, involved in the project: Youssef, stephanie,Chadi, Joyce and others. Some of us live here, some come more or less often and usually spend the night on site.
We are all very proud of all the activities we can already offer to customers and friends: hikes, snowshoeing, rock climbing, indoor bouldering, slacklining, highlining and many more to come. We also have paying guests staying overnight in our guest rooms or using camping spots to reconnect with nature, as well as a small kitchen/ pub where they can fill their belly with delicious homemade food. Miam! Occasionally, we also partner up with other structures to host all sorts of festivals. Sometimes this place really is one big party; but most of the time it is peaceful and quiet.

The village is already wonderful but we are still under construction. It means that the place is not exactly what one would call "tidy" and you shouldn't expect a 4 stars hotel facilities. Few examples: there is no wifi, electricity is not on 24/7; it can get cold and humid even inside when the weather is harsh and after sunset (bring warm clothes in winter) etc.
Also, the activities and the amount of people around (guests, friends, workers) depends a lot on the season. So do not expect a constantly crazy crowded atmosphere if you come here between November and March: there would only be a few permanent and occasional guests around. And not much to do if the weather is not clear. The high season really kicks off in June.
That being said, we have many projects in mind to carry out and we are sure you will enjoy being part of it :)

So, what is the work like? Different things: We are constantly tidying up the place in order to build new units or create new camping spots. It involves cutting trees, digging, moving the soil etc.
We are considering developing our small small (small) farm to produce our own fruits and vegetables as well as to get fresh eggs and fresh milk to offer to our customers.
We are trying to develop all sorts of activities to keep our guests and friends entertained to their best. It includes nature treks designed as an "escape game", rock climbing related activities, games of all sorts etc.

As you can see there are many ways for you to get onboard with work, especially if you are an outdoor enthusiast. After a time, you could even develop your own projects as long as it fits the spirit. Take pride in your work!

We are aware that it is not easy to fit in the society when you are traveling. Sometimes, it is just easier to hang out with fellow travellers... Even in Lebanon.
Here you will feel part of a family. You will make new friends among us. And you will also meet and get to know our guests who will fill the place with joy and smiles this spring and summer. We are all able to switch between at least two of these three languages: Arabic, French, English. Easy for you to understand, be understood and more importantly learn if you want :)

Up to you to learn anything you want related to our activities: construction, farming, mountaineering in general etc.

There is always something to do here :)

    - We have guest using our rooms/house : you will be asked to give a hand with house keeping (changing sheets, cleaning etc.) nothing really complicated ;)

    - People can also have a meal here: you should have the very hard-to-find cooking skills of reheating Chadi's mom's delicious homemade food and doing the dishes. We usually eat together and share the cooking and cleaning; it is not really considered "work", more simple survival ;) Nothing really complicated here either, but bring a sense of creativity to cooking with you!

    - We often need to clear up patches of land. Be it for construction purpose or for making a piece of ground camping friendly. We are sure you can handle a saw, a shovel, your arms and legs. If you don't we will provide intensive training ;)

    - As mentioned, we are building new units around here. Construction skills would be awesome. But definitely not mandatory. And you can always learn on our side.

    - Anything you can help with, really. You are good at photography? Take pictures! You are a yoga instructor? Instruct us and our guests! You are a chef? We have bellies! An artist? Bring beauty in our world!

    - Are you a rock climber? First: welcome in paradise. We are always looking for people to help set new routes!

To sum up: no mandatory skills are required. We care more about your enthusiasm and positivity. Two legs, two arms and a head on your shoulders: come aboard!

It really depends on if we all the rooms are taken or not. And how many workawayers are around.
Most likely you would have a room in one of our units, shared with at least another workawayer. Worst case scenario, you would have to enjoy our camping ground. As we don't have a lot of camping gear, it would be great if you can bring your own.
And of course you will be fed :) The kitchen is always open and you will always find something to eat and everything you need to cook. Not always a lot of choice but always enough calories to get a smile on your face.

  • Algo más...

    Algo más...

Important: We like to think of ourselves as progressive tolerant people and we expect you to be link-minded. The only thing we don't tolerate is intolerance.
It means that this place is:
    - All colors, nationalities, religious faith/beliefs, political views friendly
    - All gender and sexual orientations friendly
    - Vegan/vegetarian friendly
    - Definitely 420 friendly too ;)
As a result: no violent, racist, misogynistic, homophobic etc. speeches or acts would be tolerated here.

    How to get here:
We are located about an hour ride from Beirut (the city next to us is called Faitroun/Feytroun)
If you've already spent some time in Lebanon, you know how to handle a taxi service. Just go for it. it would cost you about 7000 L (around 5 USD).
If you are not familiar about the system we will be glad to explain via a Whatsapp call. Nothing complicated really :)
If you are lucky we can also hook you up with some members of family who would happen to do the ride the very day of your arrival, inch'allah.

There is no strict rules when it comes to how many hours a day, how many days a week you should be actually working. Basically, it works on mutual trust and respect. We hope that you will take pride of your work and that is what should drive you to get things done. As a result, there is no clear line between work hours and personal time. No one will come to get you out of bed in the morning or complain about the amount of work you do. We simply believe that you are a mature responsible person who knows how to handle your schedule. Therefore, if you want to leave the place for 1, 2, 3 etc days, would it be to visit the country or do shopping or whatever: suits you! Just inform people around you about your plans :)

Please communicate clearly when you want to come here! If you don't know for sure that's fine, just tell us! Communication is a must ;)
