We were very lucky to host Anna on our farm. Anna helped us with our two preschoolers and was a delight to get to know. Anna quickly developed a great relationship with the kids and was always keen to help in any way. I would definitely recommend Anna to other workaway hosts, especially those with kids!

I was really lucky that I made my first workaway expierince with this family!
Mary and Steve are awesome hosts and parents! Everything went uncomplicated, easy-going and i felt very welcome from the begining.
Most of the time I played with the kids inside or outside the house (jumping in the trampoline, reading books, playing games, baking,
… read more riding bike on the farm,..) it was always nice - the kids are very creative, funny and super cute!
Doing some household chores were also on the plan which was not a lot.
It was very interesting to see the daily routine from a new Zealand family on a farm. I really appreciated the lovely room and bathroom I had for myself and the delicious food. The calm location from the farm was perfect for me to relax after traveling from place to place all the time. It was nice to ride the bike in the area, the sea was very close too. I asked a lot of questions about New Zealand and other stuff and it was so interesting to hear the answers from locals. (thank you Mary and Steve for always answering my curious questions :))
We made some very nice trips and they offered me to see a lot of beautiful areas of new Zealand.

I stayed with Mary, Steve and the boys for about two weeks and had a great time!
Mary&Steve are the best hosts, they made me part of the family and made sure I always felt comfortable and welcome. They showed me around the area a bit, introduced me to many of their friends and family and invited me to tag along on all of their acitivies.

… read more help itself was pretty flexible and easy-going and mostly consisted of helping out with the boys which was honestly lots of fun. Benji & Chester are both super sweet, yet very energetic and funny and they'll never run out of ideas on what to do. I spend a lot of time taking Chester for walks on the farm and building all sorts of castles and forts with Benji. Together we went on treasure hunts, worked on different art and lego projects, played on the trampoline, in the mud kitchen or simply ran around in and outside of the house.
Overall it was a great experience, I loved being a part of the family and getting an insight into what real family life on a New Zealand farm looks like. I miss you guys (& all of the amazing home cooked meals) already and hope to see you all again sometime!Comentarios
