We are a family looking for an English or Russian native speaker to help as a tutor/nanny for our kids. We believe in childhood bilingualism and we have made an effort to grow our kids bilingual and sharing cultures from other countries.

We are looking for an English or Russian native speaker to help as a tutor/nanny for our kids. The person will teach the language while playing with our kids, that already speak fluently English, Russian and Italian. We are an Italian family, we always support our workawayers, we are looking for someone who loves kids and someone who is enthusiast and outgoing! We love sharing cultures our cultures! We have many references if necessary. We are looking for someone who is very dedicated, motivated with kids. Someone who wants to enjoy the family, and be part of it not like a guest. Someone who has experience with kids, and wants to experience the real Italian family!

We provide the tutor/volunteer with a private studio, that is in our property and 50 meters from the beach. We have uploaded some pictures, but we can send some more whenever we are in contact with you! We provide with WIFI as well. We live by the beach on the Adriatic sea. We love cooking and eating!

During their time off they can enjoy the beach, visit the Marche region such as ( Loreto's church, Mount Conero, Frasassi caves, Ascoli Piceno, San Benedetto del Tronto, Macerata's museums, medieval towns, Sirolo and Numana's tows. Then they can visit churches around, travel with us if they want and visit places in Italy where they'd like to go. Rome is just 3 hours by bus and Bologna is just 1,5 by train.

Working with the children is so much fun, you learn as much from… read more them as they do from you. Be sure to be fully engaged, active and positive whilst you play! They each have their unique personalities, certain games and activities they enjoy - but finding the moments shared all together are truly magical. You really can feel the love and joy from being immersed in the family dynamic!
Your working day starts at 12 and you will finish around 7, in time for dinner. So you really need to make sure you are an active person, enthusiastic and love the company of children. What you put in, you get out. And with these hilarious and lovely kids, you can really have a special time!

The food is amazing! Arianna is very creative with her recipes…especially when cooking for so many people every day! She is always there for you, with great conversations and a cappuccino, and an open heart.
The hosts are always around to support you when needed and they really go out of their way to create such a perfectly tailored experience for you!
You will also meet the hosts parents (Walter, super lovely and interesting to talk to and Silvana, an incredible cook!) They are both amazing people and just as accommodating.

The studio is so cute, it has everything you need and provides you enough space to wind down in the evenings and have time for yourself. Being located right along the sea, it’s perfect to go for walks and runs along the beach or even jump on a train (the station is only a 5 min walk) to another city and explore it in the morning or at the weekend.

I’m so grateful that during my stay, I went on a few day trips with Arianna and the kids! It was a great way to create an even deeper connection and - even though they have been to these towns 40 times now - they still show you around these towns for the sake of your experience! I think that in itself shows how thoughtful and generous they are! (A big shoutout to Bianca there! Thank you for going with me hahaha)

If you’re looking for an incredible experience in an italian seaside town, with wonderful kids and delicious food, don’t pass this opportunity to join the family!

Thank you for your generosity, for all the belly laughs and beautiful memories that I will always hold in my heart.

Arianna and Vittor are always there ready to help, support, like for example when I needed something for myself, and of course in exchange I’ve always tried to do the best for them and help them out with the kids, and cater their needs. I was fully involved in their multilingual childhood project and tried to do my best with the kids the entire time I was with them, such as when I was playing play pretend, or reading etc all in Russian language. Kids are smart and if you are not fully involved, they can feel it and it will be hard to attract their attention then. They made me feel part of the family, it is natural for them, because that is the way they are used to, especially after having so many girls over the last 10 years. They are very honest and also direct people, they like constant open communication and I appreciated their insights on how to deal with the kids and how to schedule activities with them, always trying to tailor the activities around them.
I felt like I was in a very safe place, protected and I also learned a lot while spending time with the kids, who I love so much now, and will miss once I won’t see them so often.

Although their focus is on languages, I’ve always tried to keep the rooms where we were playing cleaned to reduce their workload anyway. Arianna and Silvana ( the grandmother) are great cook, I adore the way they cook fish, I’m passionate about fish and especially mussels)!
They definitely provide more than average other families, and in exchange, I also tried to be flexible and go beyond their expeditions. I do hope to always be connected with them in the future and will aways have the kids in my heart!

у меня была прекрасная возможность использовать свои навыки и общаться с 4 детьми только на русском языке, очаровательными девочками, а, особенно, маленькими Никола и Витторио. Но,больше всех покорил мое сердце маленький Никола!
Я очень позитивный и активный человек, с энтузиазмом. Могу быть очень громкой, особенно, когда пою старые советские песни! И всем это нравится.
Арианна и Виттор всегда готовы мне помочь и поддержать, если что-то понадобится для меня лично. В сложных ситуациях они всегда оказывали мне помощь и проявляли заботу. В знак благодарности я старалась ответить добром на добро. Еще больше уделяла времени детишкам, помогала по дому, что не входило в мои обязанности.
Я полностью поддерживаю их проект многоязычного детства. С детьми мы разговаривали и игрались только на русском языке.Мы играли в разные ролевые игры, например, в "больницу", "школу", "семью". Мы много читали книг. Особенно детки любят слушать сказки, которые я им рассказывала. Я старалась дать детям максимально правильное произношение.
Дети умны, и если вы не будете с ними искренни, они это почувствуют, и тогда вам будет трудно привлечь их внимание. Но, мне было не трудно, потому что я получала удовольствие от общения с детками. Они заставили меня почувствовать себя частью семьи, несмотря на то, что за последние 10 лет в их семье было достаточное количество русскоговорящих помощниц.
Это семья очень честных и прямых людей, им нравится открытое общение. Мне очень нравится как они относятся к своим детям, как много хотят им дать и научить.
Что именно с детства они учат детей разным языками. Планируют их занятия, адаптируя к возрасту и способностям.
В этой семье мне было спокойно и комфортно. Я провожу много времени с детьми, которых я сейчас так люблю и буду скучать, как только перестану их так часто видеть... Я обожаю, как они готовят рыбу. Я страстно люблю рыбу и особенно мидии, которые очень вкусно готовят Ариана и Сильвана (бабушка)
Эта семья очень внимательна и заботлива к своим помощникам! Гораздо больше, чем другие семьи.
Не смотря на то, что в мои обязанности входило только общение и занятия с детьми, я старалась помочь содержать комнаты, в которых мы играли, в чистоте и порядке, чтобы хоть немного их разгрузить. Большая семья требует очень много сил и терпения. Мне всегда хотелось им помочь и очень поддержать.
Я надеюсь, что всегда буду поддерживать связь с ними и эти замечательные дети всегда будут в моем сердце!

Wonderful communication and accommodation. The family is completely used to having workawayers and guests and… read more they are generous and welcoming!

Your own private studio. It’s so cute and I think the best possible setup for an experience like this.

Meals. Amazing, delicious, fresh, healthy meals prepared by Arianna and sometimes Sylvanna! There’s incredible seafood in Marche, you better try it.

Kids!! Extremely intelligent, hilarious, creative, sweet, loving, silly, adorable, fun kids. You will remember how to be a kid again yourself as you play make believe and barbies. It’s very special.

The hosts are there in the event of any behavioral issues with the kiddos. It’s a big family with 4 kids (one adorable baby. Seriously, the cutest baby you’ve ever seen) so it’s expected that sometimes things can get hectic. That’s only normal - for the most part, the family environment is light and enjoyable.

Just like any workaway experience, it’s important to remember that this is a job, not a side activity you do to support your travel. Your focus for 6 hours 5 days a week is the kiddos and facilitating their language learning and creative exploration.

Your free time is a beautiful thing! Porto Potenza is a charming small town. It’s refreshing to walk on the boardwalk at any hour of the night and feel safe and relaxed. You are right across the street from the beautiful Adriatic Sea!!! You can swim, walk on the beach, chill at a local cafe, take a train to nearby Civitanova (a slightly bigger city) or Macerata (a gorgeous nearby medieval city).

A major highlight of my stay was our excursions!! There are truly magical things nearby that I never would have known about or visited if I hadn’t stayed with the family. The Frassasi caves are the COOLEST. Ever. The stunning Buonacorsi villa and gardens are very near and simply breathtaking. Sirolo, a stunning medieval town, is nearby. There really is SO much to explore not too far away that you can enjoy on the weekends.

When I signed up for workaway, I did not plan on working with kids. I like kids, but I do not necessarily seek out work with them. I am SO glad that I leapt out of my comfort zone and challenged what I thought I knew about myself, because this is a once in a lifetime experience.

Pro tip: In the morning, have coffee with Arianna. It is just so special.
