We hope to host new people who want to reconnect with the Earth through the care of the olive trees.
Next stay avaible: now!
In Jannuary/may we need help to prune the olive trees, cut the grass, cut the wood and stack.
We are in hills of Pisa (Tuscany, Italy). The olive trees of the farm were planted on terrace fields, hand made during the 8th century. We enjoy a wonderful landscape on Arno's valley overlooking the ancient village of Vicopisano.
Only for Italian speakers or learning or Spanish sorry but my father does't speak english and it's difficult for him teaching the job for not italian speakers.
It requires skills in the use of brushcutter and electric saw. if you can already use them, it's easier!!

In ottobre (dal 1 al 15) abbiamo bisogno aiuto per la raccolta delle olive.
In gennaio / maggio abbiamo bisogno di aiuto per potare gli ulivi, tagliare l'erba, tagliare la legna e impilarla.
Siamo sui Monti Pisani in provincia di Pisa (Toscana, Italia).
Gli ulivi del podere sono stati piantati su campi terrazzati, fatti a mano durante l'VIII secolo.
Gode di un meraviglioso panorama sulla valle dell'Arno che domina l'antico borgo di Vicopisano.
Solo per chi parla italiano , per chi sta imparando l'italiano o per chi parla lo spagnolo. Mio padre non parla inglese ed è difficile per lui insegnare il lavoro a persone che non parlano italiano.
E' richiesta abilità nell'uso del decespugliatore e della sega elettrica. se sai già usarli, è più facile !!

October/November: Olive harvesting is an enriching experience. Work is marked by the rhythms of nature, goals are established together and work is certainly challenging but rewarding. At the end of the day the results are visible thanks to the new oil that is immediately produced from the olives harvested.
It is also possible to learn Italian better and taste the great cuisine of Gianni, which will not disappoint you for its special welcome.
You can visit Pisa, Lucca, Livorno and Firenze, in 30/45 min you have the opportunity to visit the Tuscany landscape. The house is 2 km away from the little town Vicopisano.

We need help for different works:
1) the harvesting period of olives. Oil production is done in October/November.
The collection is mainly made by hand or with mechanical arms. The nets at the base of the trees must be positioned. Olives are put in the boxes and brought to the mill at the end of the day.
2) Help to repair the stone walls that make up the ground
3) pruning the olives, burning the cut branches, cutting grass
4) Help to build the internet site of farm (we have already a domain) but we need picture, descriptions etc etc

getting to Pisa is really simple and cheap enough. Pisa International Airport is only 25 minutes away from our farm. Life is simply in La Forca del Barone even if the city's comfort is only 30 minutes away by car (Pisa). Florence (45 minutes, Lucca 25 minutes). Reaching the farm is possible by car, while by bus you can reach Vicopisano.
