Descripción
This is a chilled-out backpacker hostel located right on the beach in the small surf town of Canoa, Ecuador. The hostel has 10 rooms for up to 36 people, a small bar and restaurant, and some nice outdoor shared communal spaces.Our team is made up of 2 waitresses, 3 receptionist bartenders, and the manager. There is a beach break right in front of the hostel, and countless other waves to surf up and down the coast. Opportunities include: working reception, maintenance work for handy men and women, creating artwork and painting murals, and creating social media content.

Volunteers receive free lodging. Canoa is also a great place to learn how to surf, improve your Spanish, and meet lots of cool people, locals, and travelers alike.

Volunteers will assist with general customer service and beautification projects in and around the hostel. You might be painting, cleaning, interacting with guests and service providers, building furniture and installations... basically the projects we assign you will depends on your skills and what you're good at! You may also be asked to organize and lead activities for the guests, and just generally be in charge of making sure everyone here is having fun!

Volunteers sleep in a shared dorm room with a shared bathroom. While it is possible that guests will occasionally sleep in that same room, it is rare because it is the dorm that we fill up last.

We try to keep things casual but professional around here. I like the staff to enjoy their work and to have fun and socialize with the guests, but first priority is always to make sure things are running smoothly and customers are getting great service.

Good wifi, few interruptions, mesh wifi system capable of multiple simultaneous connections. Reaches almost every part of the hostel, strongest connection in common spaces. As long as hostel duties are not neglected you will be able to work online at least part of the time.

The hostel is very laid bck but yet still very professional, we loved cooking in there, you can cook almost whatever you want and that's so cool ! In fact we already miss Canoa..
We recommand at 100% !
