Descripción
A beautiful lifestyle block and 5 minutes from Waikanae (an hour North of Wellington). We are a family of four (plus happy dog) who love the outdoors and travelling.
***We have recently had some trees felled (and blown over) and would love some help splitting, stacking, moving wood and spreading mulch - it is quite physical!****
We've had lots of volunteers and our aim is to be good hosts and develop lasting relationships with the people that stay with us. We like volunteers who share their culture, ask questions and who enjoy working hard (we have learned not everyone does!) We have a large house, animals, a lavender plantation (which we are slowly removing) and extensive grounds. Work opportunities are varied and can be matched to people's skills and interests. We appreciate help with gardening, cooking and general maintenance projects.
We are trying to learn French to that's a plus if you speak French and find that couples or small groups work well as we can't always work alongside you.
It's a pretty sweet deal - we have a hot tub, swimming pool and tennis court across the road!

Our lavender has been harvested but we need help with a lots of different tasks. This can vary depending on what you like doing or want to learn. We have cows, sheep and chickens. There will be trees to cut down, trees to plant, firewood to process and general outdoor help plus cleaning, decorating and cooking if you would like!

We have a double bedroom in the house or two single beds in a nearby studio, there is however no bathroom in the studio, but its only a hop, skip and a jump back to the house!

Wellington is only an hour away and the train station is 5 mins down the road. There are lots of great bush walks close to our house and a lovely beach is a 10 minute drive.
