Experience 🌈 the palace 🏰.
Help us maintain it and make it even more magical.
The place is inhabited by:
🤹♀️ Jon: a professional juggler and circus performer
💃🏼 Iben: who works at a musical venue in Aarhus
🎶 Sylvester: Jon's 16 year old son who lives in the little house in the back garden where he plays a lot of music and computer.
🐶 Happy: a cute dog. She can do tricks... and plays the piano.

PS: 🌈 The palace 🏰 is situated a few minutes walk from a beautiful lake 🏞️, and offers a sauna 😅🔥 and a jacuzzi 🛁 that volunteers will have access to.

Jon is a professional juggler and circus performer, so staying with us might teach you to juggle.
We all play music and have many instruments: guitars, ukulele, piano, bass, cajón, etc.

Here is a list of tasks we would love some help with. The list is a list of priorities, meaning that number 1 has highest priority and number 10 the lowest:
1. laying paving stones (heavy work/"free workout" 💪😅)
2. building a backyard fence (requires a minimum of experience working with wood). 🪚 (Done)
3. grouting tiles in our sauna 🔥 (Done)
4. turning an area with weeds into lawn and flower beds (with insect-friendly plants) 🌼
5. weeding and maintaining our beautiful garden. Tidying up and beautifying the raised beds 🌿
6. painting parts of the palace 🎨
7. polishing windows 🪟✨
8. cooking vegan meals some times (especially using produce from the garden) 🥗
9. taking our sweet dog Happy for walks 🐾
10. cleaning 🧹

Alojamiento
You will live in a small house in the garden, or inside inside the main house, depending on your preferences and availability. You will share vegan meals with us in the house, and we all share the tasks of cooking and cleaning up after the meals, relatively equally between us (unless we make a separate deal with you about this). These tasks come on top of the 4-5 hours a day of work. We have several bathrooms, so depending on where you decide to live you might get your own. You have access to our sauna and jacuzzi.

We live 5 km from the center of Aarhus, you can go by bus or borrow a bike from us. There is a beautiful bicycle/walking path that follows the river all the way to town. We live a few minutes walk from a lake with walking/cycling paths around it, and we have access to canoe and kayak sailing on the lake anytime you want (not in the winter). We live in an alternative community, with some communal activities, and an open atmosphere towards everyone.
We expect open and honest communication, like that you bring it up if you have a problem with something, rather than hiding it away. We expect that you can (at least sometimes) work independently, so we can get you started on a task, and then do something else ourselves for a while.

We have a good office space separate from the main house.

You can park your camper van right in front of our house. And have access to electricity.

We have a dog which is usally good with other dogs, but not cats. Our dog runs free in the garden. The garden is fenced.
