Thao is not just a hostel owner; she's a beacon of warmth, kindness, and hospitality. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel like part of her family, introducing me to her brothers, kids, and even sharing the joy of… read more Tet celebrations with me. Her gesture of giving li xi (lucky Tet money) was incredibly touching and reflected her generous spirit.

Thao's flexibility, friendliness, and open-mindedness were evident in every interaction. She went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and happiness during my stay. Even when she had to leave for Tet holiday, her cousin brother took care of me, demonstrating the close-knit bond of Thao's family.

The volunteer work itself was fulfilling and enjoyable. I took on the morning shift from 6 am to 12 noon, managing check-outs, processing payments, and gathering guest reviews. Thao provided clear guidance and support, making the tasks seamless and enjoyable. I was so engaged in the work that I didn't feel the need for a single day off during my entire stay.

Staying at Thao's hostel also provided me with invaluable cultural insights and learning experiences. I had the pleasure of meeting travelers from diverse backgrounds, engaging in enriching conversations, and expanding my understanding of different cultures and mindsets.

The facilities at Thao's hostel are excellent. The fast internet wifi, well-appointed bathroom with toiletries, and fully equipped kitchen made my stay comfortable and convenient. Thao even accommodated my vegetarian diet by allowing me to prepare my meals in her kitchen and providing lunch options that suited my preferences.

The location of the hostel is another highlight. Situated centrally in Hanoi, it offers easy access to most tourist attractions, allowing me to explore the city on foot and immerse myself in its vibrant culture and history.

As for accommodation, I initially stayed in a dorm bed with air-conditioning, which was comfortable. However, Thao graciously offered me the option to shift to a tiny non-air-conditioned store room with bed with a fan, which I found even more to my liking.

In summary, my time at Thao's hostel was nothing short of extraordinary. Thao's exceptional hospitality, coupled with the enriching experiences and welcoming atmosphere of the hostel, made it a truly unforgettable stay. I wholeheartedly recommend Thao's hostel to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable experience in Hanoi.

If I could I would give Ganesh 100 points, not only did he help me within the allotted time, he also helped me overtime when he saw we were too busy. A honest, gentle, responsible, enthusiastic person who always supports you when you need it, I appreciate that. Surely you will never regret to have him in your place.
