  Descripción

  We are a voluntary association that carries out projects for Italian children and young people. We want to offer them more opportunities for their future, teaching them the value of peace between cultures and global citizenship. We pay particular attention to disadvantaged children, to whom we dedicate special projects.
  We collaborate with a kindergarten for children aged 2 to 6 years. Within the school we propose an inter-culture project to familiarize children from an early age with new languages ​​and foreign cultures, so that they become curious adults and open to cultural differences, welcoming to all citizens of the world!
  We are looking for an English speaking volunteer (we prefer mother tongue) to collaborate with us on this project. We also accept couples or families.

  Ayuda

  We ask you to collaborate in the intercultural project by helping children to learn English simply by playing with them, talking, singing or telling stories. Of course you will never be alone with the children: the teachers will always be there and will involve you in educational activities and games.
  We ask you to stay with the children from Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm. The school offers you lunch, which you will eat together with the children and teachers.

  Alojamiento

  You'll be hosted in a flat on the upper floor of the school.
  You will have a bedroom with private bathroom and a kitchen.
  You will have lunch with the children and teachers at the school.
  Food is an important part of cultural exchange. By eating together you can share flavors, sensations and words. The children will let the volunteer try Italian food and the volunteer will teach them the English language. Eating together is something unique to Italian culture. For children it is much more!

  Loano is a very picturesque town along the Ligurian coast. You can walk along the sea, visit the Doria castle, taste the delicious Ligurian focaccia and pasta with pesto!
  Our region, Liguria, is very fascinating because it offers the sea and the mountains within easy reach of each other.
  10 km away from Loano there are some very important towns from a historical and artistic point of view: Finalborgo, Noli and Verezzi (among the "most beautiful villages in Italy") and Albenga (an important city of Roman origin with some buildings of early Christian era). You can easily reach these villages with a bus ride of about half an hour. The bus station is right next to your apartment.
  If you love walking in nature, from Loano there are numerous paths that will lead you through the Mediterranean scrub up to mountains over 1000 m high, from which on a clear day you can also see the island of Corsica!
  Our volunteers will be happy to accompany you on these explorations!
  Your accommodation is very close to the city center and the train station, from which you can reach the wonderful cities of northern Italy (Genoa hours 1:30 ; Turin 3 hours; Milan 3 hours; Florence and Pisa 4:30 hours , Venice 6:30 hours).
  If you need a few more days of vacation to visit them, you can have other days off in addition to the weekend!
