Dear All because of Covid situation, we have stopped to host volunteers for a while!!!

We are a married couple and have 3 and 9 years old daughters.We both work as English teachers at public schools and also have some private students. We run a small language program for adults and children. We are looking for young Female volunteers who feel confident to help both children and adults.

Our aim
Our aim is to provide students with a unique learning experience by giving them the opportunity to speak with and learn from a native English speaker.

You will able to interact with different people and families and learn about Turkish culture and traditions.Hanging out with our students will let you see different parts of Istanbul and visit touristic attractions and also you will able to join different local activities.Beside learning Turkish Language you will taste great Turkish cuisine.

What you are expected to do
You are a friend to our students and you will have conversations with them about their life, your life and specific topics which we will inform you about each week. You will do activities and games centred around the English language.

Since Istanbul is a huge and very crowded city ,there is alot of traffic and the commuting takes long time.So we will sometimes host volunteers with our students 4 or 5 days a week and the rest with us.The volunteers will practise English with students as a family member and do some indoor and outdoor activities including; going out, going to the cinema, going on picnics, organizing short trips, eating, watching tv and etc.

We will provide you with suggestions about what to do with our students. We will regularly discuss their progress with you and help you with any issues you may have. We can also give you information about Istanbul and our culture.

What we will provide you
Apart from food and accomodation, we will cover the cost of your public transport journeys during your stay in Istanbul, some pocket money for you to spend on your days off for lunch, dinner etc.All expenses related to the activities.You will have your own room or sometimes shared room.
