We are Currently seeking help for the 2022 Season! This is a great opportunity to immerse on a farm based in holistic living, permaculture design, herbal medicine, and community practice.
internship includes weekly discussions on regenerative agriculture and permaculture, guided by the needs of the group.
If you have taken a permaculture design course and are ready to deepen your understandings of design technique and practice, this is an awesome opportunity!
If you are curious about permaculture, the idea of living beyond sustainability, regenerative systems, alternative economy, and living in small community with people choosing to embody the change we wish to see in the world, this is an awesome opportunity.

This person ideally is dedicated, excited to learn and be apart of growing systems, willing to get dirty and work hard, and also committed to living in a peaceful, heart centered, and joyful way.

We are a small scale family farm and homestead with practices based in regenerative agriculture, biodynamic, and permaculture design. We raise pigs, sheep, chickens, and ducks while maintaining annual vegetable gardens. We are also establishing a large forest Garden, and designing and building passive irrigation earth works and rainwater/Greywater systems.
There is also opportunity to work with us on some natural building projects on the farm (we are currently building an earthen, timber frame barn), as well as opportunities for paid work in the different networks that we are engaged with.
We hold community events often to bring people together with food and live music and as a way to fundraise for some of the larger regenerative projects that we are working on - hopefully we will have more opportunity for these events as COVID reality improves.
Our farm is conveniently located in a rural setting, abutting the foothills of the rockies with hiking right out the back door and tons of climbing and backpacking close by, while also only 15 minutes from the city of Boulder and Longmont.
Lyons, Co is the closest town, only 2 min away in a car, with restaurants and small grocery stores as well as free live music in the summer, great local community, and river hangouts
We are also located near to the entrance of Rocky Mountain national park.
**We also operate a nonprofit with a sector focused in consult, design, and installation of regenerative systems. We will have paid work installing these regenerative systems throughout the year, and are also linked into other businesses doing similar work.

You would have the experience of living a full season on a working farm, learning about livestock management, gardening, permaculture and whole systems design, food preservation, community living, self transformation through land transformation, living in a beautiful area of Colorado, close to the thriving city cultures of Boulder and Denver but secluded in a quiet, rural setting
We are looking for helpers for the 2021 season. This person/couple would be responsible for 25 hrs a week helping us take care of animals, tend the gardens, brewing kombucha, processing and preserving food, fermentation, making tinctures and salves, and keep things running smooth on the farm.
Most tasks would be in the morning time and would allow the person ample time to work elsewhere during the week, with days set aside for bigger projects.

This includes housing in rustic but comfortable accommodations on the farm, with outdoor kitchen, wood fired sauna (yep!), outdoor shower and composting toilet. All meat and vegetables produced on the farm would be shared as well as bulk food items such as staple grains and cooking oil. Regular community meals will also be shared
