This hostel in Kalambaka Greece is a friendly, local family run hostel located exactly under the rocks of Meteora. A traditional stone building built in 1932, located in the heart of Kalampaka, very close to the train and bus station, next to the central square, a small-medium sized hostel that can accommodate up to 40 guests.We are open from mid March till mid November.
We have good access to all activities such as rock climbing, hiking routes, daily tours to the rockforest of Meteora which is one of the highlights -UNESCO monuments of Greece.
We are looking for people to help us around here.
Since we are asking for help with a business activity free accommodation plus at least minimum wage is offered for each hour worked.This position includes help with cleaning and maintenance rooms,bathrooms and common areas.
Help with the guests,during check in-out,their needs during their stay and the breakfast.
We would prefer people who have some experience in traveling and staying in a hostels like ours.
We are looking for fun and social people who are willing to help.
Fluent english is necessary.

Dora is absolutely fabulous. My stay in Kalambaka will always be held deep in my heart. The work is very minimal and the people the hostel attracts are wonderful. My first workaway and it could not have been better. Dora, the owner is the loveliest lady in all Greece. She welcomes you with open arms and you soon become part of the family.
I don't usually say this, but it would be a shame to miss the opportunity to work with Dora in such a magical place.

I spent a week or so in and around Kalabaka. I was planning on climbing the conglomerate towers of Meteora but it didn't work out (weather/partners) or else I would have stayed longer. I stayed at Dora's hostel and helped out a bit. She was a very warm and generous host. The town is very laid back and is easy to access from other areas.

I spent two weeks in Kalambaka, it was an amazing experience! Dora is a nice person, very positive, cheerful, easy going, friendly...and a lots of good things more!! (and she is also a great cook!)

Mary is avery nice girl willing to do everything and she could manage to whole hostel on her own. I would recommend her to everybody

I had a great first-ever work away experience here. I learnt a lot in the time that I volunteered. Dora is an amazing person and host. She's accommodating, caring and goes above and beyond for her guests and workawayers. Thank you for a great experience and lots of memories.

My experience in Kalambaka was truncated by some horrible illness that I contracted a few days before while trekking. However, despite my shortened stay it was a lovely pitstop and I got to experience unwavering philoxenia (hospitality) from Dora and her friends at the hostel.

I don't know where to begin, other than saying that Dora is an amazing person! She is a very intelligent, hardworking, determined, cultured woman,and one of the kindest most generous people I have ever met.
