We are a young family of 3 living halfway up a mountain, we are co-parenting, off-grid in Catalonia. We moved here from the UK earlier this year. We never imagined we would be doing this during a global pandemic but we made it and are now in the process of getting set up. Our goal is to live self-sufficiently on our land. We’ve had more failures than successes so far (mostly vehicle related) but we are loving campo life and would greatly appreciate some extra help around the place. We have a one year old son Roland who massively slows progress here but is an absolute joy to have around. We are Alex and Emma and have been workaways before but are now excited to be able to host.
There’s so much to do here that we can be flexible with what people want, the choice will be yours of about a million projects We can offer board and one meal per day, vegetarian, usually vegan. Board is either a caravan or tent and part of the project is working towards setting that up. To help keep costs down we can meal share but you can have full access to all cooking/cleaning facilities
There’s so much to do here that we can be flexible with what people want, the choice will be yours of about a million projects! We can’t offer food at the moment and part of the overall project is working towards setting that up. To help keep costs down we can meal share but the caravan does have its own kitchen and people would be more than welcome to use our outdoor kitchen anytime aswell.
A brief over view of projects on at the moment is:
establishing water collection and developing existing ones
creating veg garden and forest garden
creating shade areas
building new compost toilet
maintenance of olive grove
setting up a workspace

mostly learning the off grid lifestyle knowing the freedoms and demands it has and we are far away from things to feel really remote and at one with nature but close enough to villages and towns for a more cultural experience.

the other help we will need is:
help with entertaining/feeding Roland
general maintenance of the place, watering, cleaning, cooking, water collection, resource collection
ideas, help and advice from people who are probably a lot more knowledgeable than us about all this and even if you're not, any help and advice will be appreciated.
