  I am a trained furniture restorer and have been working with antique furniture for many years.
  
  It is important to me to clarify that I am not looking for unpaid labor for my business. "Workawayers" are not expected to carry out client orders or replace regular staff.
  
  The help I am looking for relates primarily to my private home and daily life—for example, assistance with the house, the garden, organizing, cooking together, or small practical tasks.
  
  Since furniture restoration is a major part of my life, I enjoy sharing my craftsmanship skills with interested guests. I can explain and demonstrate how traditional furniture is restored, how to work with wood and finishes, and how to polish, maintain, and preserve historical pieces. No prior experience is required.
  
  The focus here is explicitly on learning and sharing knowledge; I personally spend time explaining and demonstrating techniques.
  
  You will have your own room, and meals and accommodation are provided. We will discuss the scope and nature of the help required clearly and reach a firm agreement beforehand.
  
  My house is well-located on the outskirts of town, and a tram stop is within a 15-minute walk.
  
  I enjoy traveling and often go on trips in my camper van. I also own a small, old house and have good connections in Sicily. If we get along well, there might be opportunities for future joint trips or longer stays, though this is certainly not a requirement.
  
  It is important to me that both parties feel comfortable. Therefore, I would prefer an initial stay of about two to three weeks. After that, we can see if a longer-term arrangement makes sense for both sides.
  
  A love of animals is important, as a friendly German Shepherd is part of the household.
  
  
  I enjoy traveling and often go on trips in my camper van. I also have connections in Sicily. If we get along well, there might be opportunities for future joint trips or longer stays, though this is certainly not a requirement.

  Ich bin gelernter Möbelrestaurator und beschäftige mich seit vielen Jahren mit historischen Möbeln.
  
  Wichtig ist mir: Ich suche keine unbezahlten Arbeitskräfte für meinen Betrieb. Workawayer sollen keine Kundenaufträge ausführen und keine regulären Arbeitskräfte ersetzen.
  
  Die Unterstützung, die ich suche, betrifft vor allem mein privates Zuhause und den Alltag – zum Beispiel Hilfe im Haus, im Garten, beim Organisieren, beim gemeinsamen Kochen oder bei kleineren praktischen Dingen.
  
  Da Möbelrestaurierung ein wichtiger Teil meines Lebens ist, gebe ich mein handwerkliches Wissen gern an interessierte Gäste weiter. Ich kann erklären und zeigen, wie traditionelle Möbel restauriert werden, wie man mit Holz und Oberflächen umgeht, poliert, pflegt und historische Substanz erhält. Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich.
  
  Dabei geht es ausdrücklich um Lernen und Wissensvermittlung. Ich verbringe selbst Zeit damit, Techniken zu erklären und vorzuführen.
  
  Du bekommst ein eigenes Zimmer sowie Kost und Logis. Über Umfang und Art der Mithilfe sprechen wir vorher klar und verbindlich.
  
  Mein Haus befindet sich am Stadtrand in guter Lage und eine Straßenbahnanbindung ist in 15 min zu Fuß zu erreichen.
  
  Ich bin gern unterwegs und reise auch mit meinem Camper. Außerdem habe ich ein kleines altes Haus und gute Verbindungen auf Sizilien. Wenn man sich gut versteht, können sich später eventuell gemeinsame Reisen oder längere Aufenthalte ergeben. Das ist aber ausdrücklich keine Voraussetzung.
  
  Mir ist wichtig, dass sich beide Seiten wohlfühlen. Deshalb würde ich zunächst einen Aufenthalt von etwa zwei bis drei Wochen bevorzugen. Danach kann man sehen, ob eine längere Zusammenarbeit für beide Seiten sinnvoll ist.
  
  Tierliebe ist wichtig, da ein lieber Schäferhund zum Haushalt gehört.
  
  
  Ich bin gern unterwegs und reise auch mit meinem Camper. Außerdem habe ich Verbindungen nach Sizilien. Wenn man sich gut versteht, können sich später eventuell gemeinsame Reisen oder längere Aufenthalte ergeben. Das ist aber ausdrücklich keine Voraussetzung.

  It is important to me that the stay represents a genuine cultural exchange, rather than just an arrangement of help in return for accommodation.
  
  I can share insights into life in Thuringia, everyday German culture, traditional craftsmanship, and my many years of experience as a furniture restorer.
  
  We can cook and eat together, chat, or occasionally go on outings in the local area. At the same time, guests naturally have their own room, privacy, and plenty of free time.
  
  I personally find it interesting to meet people from other countries and learn more about their cultures, languages, experiences, and ways of life.

  Wir können gemeinsam kochen, essen, uns austauschen oder gelegentlich etwas in der Umgebung unternehmen. Gleichzeitig haben Gäste natürlich ihr eigenes Zimmer, Privatsphäre und genügend freie Zeit.
  
  Ich selbst finde es interessant, Menschen aus anderen Ländern kennenzulernen und mehr über ihre Kultur, Sprache, Erfahrungen und Lebensweise zu erfahren.
