Hello!

*** We are looking for someone to helps us with the kids from April. ***

We are a family of 5+2 Sergio (48) Tamara (47) and we have three active, happy and curious boys Nathan (10)& Eliam(7) and Adael (3). We also have a very relaxed cat called Millán.

We are a very close family that enjoy spending time together. We are cheerful and very affectionate. We love nature, animals, cooking, discovering new places...

Tamara is a preschool teacher, and Sergio is a professional computer teacher for teenages, We both love our jobs.
Nathan and Eliam love biking, swimming, and playing lego and other games. They like to make inventions and have fun.
Adael loves playing with cars, balls and swimming. He's a very funny boy!

In our free time we like to do crafts and go to cultural activities such as storytelling, theater, cinema, exhibitions...

We also like to ride a bike, meet friends and go out to dinner, make some weekend trips...

We love traveling with our motor home, we enjoy having fun at the beach,go to the mountains or travelling to our small village.

We used to live in the Neighborhood of Utebo, next to casetas, that is a rural quarter of Zaragoza, but now we have moved to Zaragoza, because our family, our friends and our work are in Zaragoza. We live in a very good neighborhood, very well communicated with all the city.
We love to share our life and time with different people, because we love to learn from the other.

We also can help you with Spanish, and help to improve your skills, as we told we both are teachers and love to teach.
You will be able to know our lifestyle, the Spanish gastronomy and take the opportunity to visit Zaragoza with an exceptional cultural richness, it is the fifth city in Spain in terms of inhabitants.
But we also want to help you learning Spanish if you are interested!!

During your free time you can visit the city and its surroundings (the location of the city is very good) even make some excursion to the Pyrenees (mountains bordering France). Also be with us, make some cultural visits or practice the language.

Zaragoza is a very beautiful city that has a lot of things to do! Zaragoza is the fifth most populous city in Spain with 670 thousand inhabitants.
It is a very safe city, which is located on the banks of the rivers Ebro, Huerva and Gállego and the Imperial Canal of Aragon. Also its privileged location facilitates access to the mountain of the Pyrenees and Moncayo.
The city of Zaragoza has more than two thousand years of history. Zaragoza is very culturally rich and is called the "city of the four cultures" since, several peoples have inhabited it, stating its passage: Iberians, Romans, Muslims, Jews and Christians. You can visit the Basilica del Pilar (one of the most important Marian centers in Europe), the Cathedral of La Seo, the Aljafería Palace, the Roman Theatre and numerous Churches and monuments.

Where should we even start. From the first day, when they picked us up at the bus station, they were very welcoming, and we immediately felt comfortable. Even if we were nervous to meet everybody, they instantly made us feel like a family member.
They always looked out for us and helped us if we needed something, they made sure we have everything… read more we wanted, whether it was something for a special dish or a ride to the bus station, to see a bit of the city.
We felt like we were in good hands and Tamara and Sergio always made sure we felt like home.
When we first got to know the kids, they were very lively and energetic. From the beginning, they made us feel like their big sisters, since they were always happy to see us and didn’t hesitate to give us hugs a lot of the time. We never got bored with them, because they always had a lot of crazy ideas for games, for example building a house for the cat. They loved games where they could run around and just relief their energy, which was a workout per day for us.
Although our Spanish was on a very low level, the kids as well as Tamara and Sergio helped us improve it a lot. Eliam and Nathan also learned a bit English from us and everyone in the family can now say at least one word in German.
Furthermore, the conversations with Sergio and Tamara in the evening, when the kids were in bed, were lots of fun. Especially on the weekends we enjoyed some nice conversations, while having a cerveza! They told us a lot about Spanish traditions and Sergio knew things about the historical background of cities and buildings. Furthermore, they let us try every kind of food that is typical here, which is why we think we gained a few pounds.
After dinner on Friday and Saturday, it always felt so nice, when we watched La Voz or a movie, with the whole family!
In the mornings it was never a hurry to wake up, since Tamara always let us sleep in or told us the evening before, if she needed our help the next day (garden work, cleaning the kitchen facilities, collecting leaves, …) Our working tasks were to play with the kids after school, bring them to their free time activities and help in the house a bit, after the baby was born, we picked them up from school in Zaragoza.
On the weekends we had a lot of free time, where they gave us a lot of advice what to visit and helped us plan our “sightseeing tours”.
At this time it was a little bit difficult to see the full beauty of this area, since due to Covid19 there were stricter rules that did’t allow us to visit the bigger cities around and a lot of facilities were closed. For the workawayers who read this, we hope that everything has settled a bit more as when we were here. Even in this time, they tried their best to let us explore as much as possible, which we appreciate a lot!
Although the family of four were so much better than we expected, we were lucky to experience a new family member joining us in December (he is the cutest and prettiest baby boy)
It is very hard for us to write this review, since it means that we have to leave them! In the last two months we have locked them into our hearts, and it was a pleasure to support them in their lives. We are so happy that we made this experience here and gain some very nice and humorous people in our lives. Thank you for everything you did for us and Tamara a special thanks to you, for the delicious tortillas and coliflor, which we will adapt into our cooking sortiment.
Hopefully in a few years we can see you again and see how the boys grew bigger. Maybe by then our Spanish has evolved to a level where we can have the nice talks just in Spanish.
