Hello Dear Friends,
We warmly welcome you to join us in this exciting new chapter of our lives. After nearly a decade, we have decided to embark on a new journey. Our goal is to create a vibrant and biodiverse environment on our land. We are not a production farm or a company; our aim is to enrich our surroundings with biodiversity and vitality. As a family, we hope to contribute positively to our society, and we would love your support in achieving this vision.
Our ultimate goal is to establish a harmonious balance between nature and ourselves in our countryside. This equilibrium will be achieved by providing nature with the tools it needs to grow and sustain itself, with minimal intervention from us. We are a family that owns a 3-hectare (7.5-acre) plot of land in a hilly countryside. Our garden boasts a variety of fruit trees, including olive, walnut, hazelnut, orange, and lemon trees, among others. Maintaining the farm involves various activities throughout the year. The production of olive oil, marmalades, and other products would not be possible without this essential support. This is where your journey with us begins.
We also have plans to take our project to the next level. We have started with three beehives and aim to expand significantly over the next 3-5 years, building the necessary facilities to support this growth. Our vision includes increasing the area's biodiversity by planting wildflowers, Mediterranean plants, and medicinal herbs. The bees will thrive in this colorful and vibrant environment. In recent years, we have planted several hundred lavender plants with the goal of producing essential oils and related products through distillation.
We also have ideas for utilizing the hundreds of reeds on our property, and we welcome your input and creativity in this endeavor.
We invite you to join us as a family or couple for at least three weeks to a month. You will have your own woodland apartment, complete with Wi-Fi and privacy. The kitchen, bathroom, and other facilities are nearby, providing a serene and peaceful environment. If you wish to work with us while staying connected to your "real" job, that is perfectly fine. We are looking for individuals who are willing to stay for an extended period and contribute to our project.
The arrangement involves working four days a week for six hours each day. You will have the opportunity to cultivate your own garden in a designated area and harvest all the fruits you need daily. In return, we ask that you take care of your own food. A bike will be at your disposal, allowing you to reach the nearest village for shopping in just 10 minutes.
My wife and I, along with our 2-year-old child, have been living abroad for some time and will visit as needed, possibly once a month. My parents, sister, and her family will be in the countryside. You will be part of our family, and we want you to feel comfortable and at home. Our intention is to give you the freedom to create your own atmosphere and space.
For many, our place is a paradise, and numerous friends have found it a unique and long-term retreat. It is perfect for those who wish to disconnect from the real world while staying connected to their work via computer.
We are excited to start this journey together and are happy to open the doors of our home to you.

We are non-smokers and only host non smokers too. Event if we don't usually eat that much meat, we are kind of vegetarians, and we would probably find it easy to cook for a vegetarian or even vegan.
We are also sorry not to be able to accept dogs because we have already 5.

Duties/various tasks, depending on the season: helping in the vegetable garden, taking care of the animals, preserving and canning fruits and vegetables, improving the housings of the animals, sometimes helping with construction, gardening and making flowerbeds, harvesting fruits, nuts !
Schedule:
We expect approximatly 24 hours work per week at your will. Saturday and Sunday are off-day. You'll be working on some tasks that have been explained most of time in the mornings or weekly basis.
Some of our projects for this year: lots of gardening, Olive and Nuts harvesting , making marmalades and all kind of preserves depending on the time of the year, supporting with bees, working on a room still to be renovated, helping in the stone-oven room to make bread, clean up the stream with a photo-book with all the changes and fences and so many other ideas...
We will prefer experienced people , but please explain your wishes to come and what you can offer and we are happy to host you. Flexibility is our favourite word.
People with physical issues (asthma, heart-problems...) may please tell us in advance, so that we can schedule their stay in accordance to their physical capacities.

Our helpers are hosted in their own apartment with all facilities
The meals: you have your own kitchen and you can cultivate your food in the garden or buy it at village. there is a bike to support you on that. You will be able to try the dozens of local food sorts. We also have a Wifi or CPL-Internet access inside the house.

Faiano is located on an area rich of thermal waters still known in Ancient Roman era, the town counts a spring named Sette Bocche (Seven Mouths). 1 km from its center there are some ancient Roman Thermae.
