Hi there, we are sheep & beef farmers and would welcome help from non smoking couples (male/female) ranging from gardening to pet care.
We farm 5 km from the small town of Cheviot (1.5 hours north of Christchurch & 1 hour south of Kaikoura).
There are some awesome views to the mountains from our farm. The farm is set in a peaceful location and the self contained accommodation is private and separate from the house.
It is best suited to COUPLES who like privacy. We supply accommodation and basic food allowance in return for 4 hours help a day. Any questions please email. Kind Regards Hamish

Hi there. Our family farm mid micron sheep and Angus beef cattle. We are looking for general help including gardening, painting, farm chores, animal care and maintenance jobs. We are keen to plant lots of trees and hedges for animal shelter and the environment. Non smoking couples only .

We spent an amazing month on the farm.
Not only is Hamish an awesome and kind person (and the rest of the family, too!!), we also learnt so much! We were involved in all farm duties like moving sheep, vet appointments, reparings around the farm etc.

We had an awesome stay for two weeks on the farm. We lived in a cabin near the House and the nearby WiFi-Hut (Like they call it). The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable time. We really enjoyed our stay with Hamish. We did farmwork, gardening, helping with the animals. Hamish makes sure you don't do to much of the same thing and makes sure you experience every part of the farm. The views on the farm are just magnificent! We loved our experience spent in this farm. Worked with Hamish was awesome, everyday is different and never boring. Hamish took his time for explain and speak with us. His family is very welcoming. We learned lot of stuff about cattles. If we will come back in NZ we won't forget to visit them!

Asbjorn & Catrine are a lovely couple and a fantastic help!!!!! They were always prepared to try new things and also help out longer on the busier days with stock work. I could trust them fully with using the motorbikes and gear which they treated with respect. They stayed here for 8 weeks and we were sad to see them go.
