Our almost 2-week stay on Hamish' farm in 2020 was just amazing! We learnt so many different things, starting from planting trees to shearing the sheep, that it just couldn't be better. We had a wonderful time doing all these farm things, shifting the animals, driving a quad, fixing the fence... We were never bored. We lived in super cool small

We had to prepare our all meals, but Hamish delivered us all we needed. He was truly ready to answer all our questions and to show us and explain all we needed to know. His family was lovely, especially Tegan, who taught us how to ride her (a little crazy) horse :D We wish we could stay longer with Hamish. Thank you!!!

We spent an amazing month on the farm.
Not only is Hamish an awesome and kind person (and the rest of the family, too!!), we also learnt so much! We were involved in all farm duties like moving sheep, vet appointments, reparings around the farm etc.
We enjoyed our stay in the little cabin in the farms woods with so much nature all around us.

We had an awesome stay for two weeks on the farm. We lived in a cabin near the House and the nearby WiFi-Hut (Like they call it). The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable time. The farm itself is well maintained and carefully looked after by Hamish and the whole family. It's very exciting to learn about all the things you need to know
… read more about the work with the sheep and the cattle, witch Hamish is ambitioned to try to explain everything to you. It was always nice that he let us work by our own and that he trusted us with all the tasks.
We also got the chance to feed a lovely little calf (Hazel) that sadly lost his mom.
All in all we definitely would recommend a stay at Cheviot with the Pain family! They are an awesome family and all pretty hard working. Hamish also showed us around Cheviot and told us some history about and even made a tasty BBQ at home for us.
Not to forget our beloved Taika (one of the dogs) who was almost always with us.
Looking forward to come back one day! CheersSolo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

We really enjoyed our stay with Hamish. We did farmwork, gardening, helping with the animals. We had an amazing time working with Hamish on his farm. We did something different every day, and worked closely with his animals enough toget a real sense of what it's like to be a farmer! Asbjorn & Catrine are a lovely couple and a fantastic help!!!!! They were always prepared to try new things and also help out longer on the busier days with stock work. We stayed for 1.5 month at the Pain farm and we loved every second of it. We planned to stay for only a month but liked the place so much that is was hard to leave. The first week we stayed in the trailer in the woolshed and after this week we moved to the beautiful and new build container/cabin, which was great.
Normally we worked from 8 in the

On our days off there was plenty to do in the area. Cheviot is close by, for a nice hot drink in a cafe on rainy days, but you can also go to the beach and there are plenty of walking tracks in the area and on the farm. Lin could ride their horse Bobby in her free time. That was awesome, there is lots of space to ride on the farm and there are some beautiful views. My favorite thing to do on the farm was going for a ride with the girls, we had so much fun!
