Hi! I am Sandrine. I am French but I have been living in Andalucia for the past 20 years. I live with my cat Sammy in a beautiful setting in the countryside just 10 minutes by car outside Tarifa, Andalucía, Spain, and its pristine beaches opposite Morocco. I offer energy healing and I am creating a garden to host holistic day retreats/events (yoga, meditation, kirtan, silent retreats, sound healings, etc).
I am working more or less full time in Tarifa and need help with small home projects I don't have time to do: regrouting the shower, painting kitchen/living room, putting a glass seal to my wood burning stove, treating my garden wooden platform, etc...
In exchange I provide a small bedroom in my house and shared facilities (bathroom, kitchen, living room and garden). I will be happy to cook for us using as much as possible vegetables from my garden on my days off. On my work days, I would appreciate it if we shared the cooking. I normally cook vegetarian food but I am happy to prepare vegan meals with help.
My interests? I love nature, arts and crafts, walking, yoga and alternative medicine, travelling and discovering new cultures and ideas and meeting new people.

If you enjoy DIY/painting and love the ocean, nature and cats, this is for you! Being in the countryside, if you need to disconnect from civilisation, you can do just that, meditate, do yoga in the garden... A perfect retreat. You will also be able to enjoy beautiful countryside as Tarifa is set in a national park with amazing unspoilt sandy beaches and stunning mountains. The mecca for windsurfers and kite surfers, so if you are one of them, it will be perfect for you! It is also ideal for bird watchers, walkers, cyclists and health conscious travellers (lots of yoga classes, alternative workshops, etc). Not to mention Morocco being only a few km across, so close you can almost touch it! Magical! And other Andalucian cities to explore (Cadiz, Jerez, Sevilla). So much to do and see in your free time. Although I am French, I have been living in Andalucía for over 20 years and speak Spanish and know a lot about the local culture, which I'll be happy to share with you.
If you don't have your own vehicle, I can lend you my bike so you can explore Tarifa and it's surroundings.

In your free time you can enjoy swimming in the unspoilt ocean around Tarifa, kite surfing, windsurfing, body boarding, walking, cycling, going to yoga classes, and sightseeing in nearby cities connected with buses from Tarifa (Cadiz, Sevilla, Jerez de la Frontera). Or you can just stay at my home and disconnect totally from the world and enjoy peace and quiet and reconnect with yourself. I have a basic mountain bike you can borrow too. You can also take part two mornings a week in Tai Chi classes that are given nearby.

I have space in my fenced garden outside my house for a small van. In this case, I can welcome two people. This space has got trees providing shade, an outdoor kitchen, an outdoor shower and a dry compost toilet as well as a wooden platform you can use for yoga. You will be very welcome to use the house facilities too if you prefer.

Pets are very welcome as long as they are garden friendly and are safe with farm animals as my place is within a cattle farm where cows, pigs and chicken roam around freely. My cat Sammy loves dogs but can be territorial with cats.
