Hola! We are family – Robert (31), Carmen (24), and our little one Ender (1.5 years old). In October 2024, we moved to Spain to start living a more conscious and connected lifestyle. We have nearly 6 hectares of land and are in the process of discovering and transforming it step by step into a place that lives in harmony with nature.
Our goal is to become more self-sufficient: we want to grow our own vegetables and learn about permaculture and ecological living along the way. We already have a few sheep, and more animals will follow as our project grows.
What might make our project special is that we’re not experienced farmers or gardeners – we simply jumped into this adventure out of curiosity and the desire to learn. So we’d love to invite you to be part of this journey! Whether you have experience or not, if you enjoy being outdoors, learning new things, and helping build something meaningful, you’ll feel right at home here.
Our place is in a beautiful and peaceful area – the perfect spot to slow down and reconnect with nature.
We’re looking forward to meeting you!Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

Cultural exchange at our place
We love the idea of learning from people from all over the world, and of sharing our own journey as a young family building a new life in Spain.
There will be lots of opportunities for sharing ideas, stories, and practical skills. Since we’re learning as we go – in gardening, renovation, and raising animals – we’re very open to trying new approaches that volunteers bring with them. In return, we share our experiences, meals, and daily life.
We live in a peaceful rural area with a growing international community, and we sometimes visit local markets and nearby villages. If you’re interested, we’d love to introduce you to the area and to some of the wonderful people we’ve met here.
Around the house, we value honest conversations, laughter, and good food. We enjoy connecting over simple things like working side by side, cooking together, or enjoying a quiet evening by the fire.
We hope to create a space where everyone feels at home and inspired.Proyectos con niños

The kind of help we’re looking for
There’s always something to do around here, and we’d love some extra hands and curious minds to join us on this journey!
We’re still settling in and slowly shaping our home and land into a cozy, natural place to live and grow. That means there’s a wide mix of small, practical tasks you can help with – depending on the season, the weather, and what needs doing.
Some examples of what you might do:
• Helping out in the vegetable garden – weeding, planting, watering
• Feeding and caring for our sheep (and future animals!)
• Light outdoor tasks like clearing paths or tidying the land
• Helping create natural features like compost areas, shade spots, or animal shelters
• Occasionally lending a hand in the kitchen or around the house
• And sometimes: entertaining our little one so we can get a few things done!
You don’t need any special skills – just a positive attitude and a willingness to try new things. And if you do have experience with hands-on projects, that’s always a nice bonus!
We always work together with our volunteers. We’re learning as we go, so you’ll never be left alone with big tasks – it’s all about figuring things out as a team, learning, sharing ideas, and having fun in the process.Idiomas hablados

Accommodation
At the moment, we don’t have a separate house or guest room available yet, but we do provide a spacious and comfortable tent. The tent includes enough room for your belongings, a chair, and basic storage, so you’ll have your own little space to relax.
You’ll share the shower and toilet with us in the main house. Of course, we do our best to keep everything clean and hygienic – we all prefer a fresh toilet seat! During your stay, we’re actually working on creating separate facilities for future guests, so you’ll be part of that transition too.
We provide three meals a day and often cook and eat together.
For meals, we currently share our kitchen, and we often cook and eat together. If you’d like to cook on your own sometimes, we can lend you a gas stove and some basic cooking gear.
It’s all a bit simple and evolving, but we do our best to make it cozy, respectful, and welcoming.Algo más...
Other information
We live a calm and simple life close to nature, and we really appreciate open communication, respect for each other’s space, and a good sense of humor. We’re not strict, but we do value a tidy shared space and a peaceful atmosphere.
We have two friendly dogs, so it’s important that you’re comfortable around animals. They’re very much part of the family and love attention (but also know how to chill).
In your free time, there are walking trails nearby, and we sometimes go to local markets or visit surrounding villages – you’re always welcome to join! There’s also plenty of space on the land to relax, read, or enjoy nature.
We’re about 18 minutes by car from the nearest village, so having your own transport is helpful but not essential – we can help with rides now and then or pick you up if needed.
If you’re traveling with your own campervan, you’re very welcome too! Just keep in mind that vehicles longer than 6 meters may have trouble reaching our house due to the narrow road. However, there is a parking area near the village church, and from there it’s about a 10-minute walk to our place – we walk that route every day ourselves!
There are also some great outdoor and sports activities in the area. We love hiking in the Picos de Europa Natural Park, which is about an hour’s drive away – a beautiful area with epic views. The nearest village has a small climbing/bouldering gym and a swimming pool, and another nearby village offers the same.
We’re really looking forward to sharing this space and journey with curious, kind, and hands-on people.Un poco más de información

Our internet connection is reliable but currently only available in and around the house. It might not reach the tent (yet), but we’re working on extending the range in the future. Great for emails, basic work, and video calls near the house.
Espacio para aparcar autocaravanas
As mentioned earlier, campervans longer than 6 meters should park near the church in the village. From there it’s a 10-minute walk to our home. During dry weather, it’s usually possible to reach our place directly without a 4x4. And no worries — we have a great neighbor with a strong tractor who actually loves to help if needed!

We already have two friendly dogs, so we’re open to pets as long as they’re social and well-behaved around other animals. Please check in with us first so we can be sure it’s a good fit for everyone.
