I spent 3 weeks with Dawn, Chris and the alpacas, firstly it was a pleasure to meet and stay with Dawn and Chris, they are generous, interesting, funny and great to be around, I had a fabulous time staying with them.
The work they tasked me with was mainly cutting paths through woodland to make walks for the alpacas, there was no pressure and
… read more they gave me free rein to create the paths as I saw fit, it was hard but extremely rewarding work and I was very happy with end result and I hope I have contributed to some nice walks for the guests and alpacas.
Limalonges is a lovely little village and it was always nice to pop to the local bar after a hard day's work!
Lastly it was fabulous to met the alpacas they are endlessly entertaining and a pleasure to walk them and be around them each day.
Thanks again it really was a great stay and a pleasure meet you all I will definitely be back to see you all soon.

Richard was an absolute pleasure to host. He communicated effectively well in advance of his arrival and was polite, respectful, and a joy to have around.
We entrusted Richard with the freedom to design paths through our woodlands for our alpaca trekking walks, and he went above and beyond over the three weeks he stayed with us. His work ethic
… read more was exceptional, and the results were outstanding—his dedication and pride in his work were evident in every detail. We were even able to take a short, two-day holiday, confident that our alpacas were in good hands under his care.
We would gladly welcome Richard back anytime. If you have the opportunity to host him, consider yourself fortunate—you won’t be disappointed!

We communicated with Paul for several months before he arrived. He was very chatty and said he was a semi-retired professional decorator and took part in work-away activities in between his work. He had planned to stay 3 or 4 weeks and help us with the decorating. His profile didn’t quite match was we were led to believe. In the two weeks he
… read more stayed he decorated three doors, some dado rail in the hallway and front of a small stable. He left earlier than planned.

Chris et Dawn sont des hôtes très accueillants. Je me suis senti chez moi dès le premier jour. J'ai vécu une fête exceptionnelle et de beaux souvenirs que je n'oublierai jamais.

Dawn travaillait à peindre du bois et parfois à décoller du papier peint, mais pendant mon séjour, elle travaillait souvent dans le jardin.
Je les ai aidés à peindre et papier peint et le résultat était excellent.
Dawn et Chris ont une bonne expérience des voyages dans différents pays, ils ont donc un grand respect pour les autres cultures et accueillent les Workawayers, de tous horizons.
La région est magnifique et il y a de nombreux villages et petites villes à proximité que vous pourrez visiter en temps libre.
Aussi Limalonges n'est pas très loin de grandes villes comme Poitiers, Limoges et La Rochelle.
J'ai eu l'occasion de voir certain nombre de beaux villages et lieux à proximité.
Mon séjour a été agréable et la nourriture était très délicieuse.
Super expérience. Je recommande à 100%

Osmane was a delight to have as part of our family. He was respectful, hard working and always had a smile on his face. He painted and wallpapered bedrooms, bathrooms and hallways ceilings, his work was very professional and finished to a great standard. He always left the work area clean and tidy once he finished the work.
We enjoyed our
… read more cultural exchange and he helped us with our French language, and we also learnt more about his native country. It was Osmane’s birthday during his stay, and we got him a birthday card and small gift and sang happy birthday, we learnt that this was his very first card and present he had received for his birthday and it made us very happy to be able to share something of our culture. We also introduced him to Yorkshire puddings!
He showed us some of his creative hobby designs of 3D painting - he is a very talented and creative young man.
We would highly recommend Osmane and would love to welcome him back one day, either as a work away or a friend coming to stay.Fotos
