I spent 3 weeks at Maria's home in January which was a wonderful experience. Maria has a big heart, is very kind, generous and has a beautiful warm personality with impeccable style. I valued my time on the farm and especially working with the horses - they're the awesome foursome! My main jobs were around the house doing a thorough spring clean,
… read more cleaning the windows, cooking, baking and helping with the horses. This was not requested but I wanted to take part in the horses daily jobs.
This consisted of mucking out, filling their water, putting hay in the field as well as the stables and giving treats. Maria was very fair when asking me to do jobs around the house and never asked too much.
I got to explore the surrounding areas a few times and had a wonderful time at the Louisiana museum twice!
Maria was such a great host and I will always remember how wonderful my time was with her.
Maria is very grounded and was always consistent in how she communicated and showed up everyday with a big smile - this is just what I needed at the time. I was sad to leave but my journey had to continue as I was running out of time in Europe due to my Schengen visa.

As a first experience, it was excellent to meet María, my adaptation to the place was very fast and pleasant, we immediately agreed on everything. The gardening tasks were not complicated, María always showed me how to do them so that later I can work independently for the rest of the time. … read more room, I was able to work very calmly looking through the window at the beautiful garden that the house has. I learned several things by watching Maria work with her horses, even though it wasn't part of my job. The place is a few km from the nearest station, it is advisable to have your own bicycle/transport if you want autonomy, but if you like to walk there is no problem, near there there is a beautiful forest to explore. I want to thank Maria for the company for 3 weeks, always doing everything possible so that I'm well fed. The amazing thing is how quickly time went by, so I think it was because I had a great time. I hope to visit her again another time to go say hi!

I'm really thankful for the time I got to spend here. Maria is a kind host and wise woman who I greatly enjoyed being around.
I enjoyed the work also, mostly independent tasks, time to think and listen to podcasts.
Maria gave me the freedom to come up with solutions and try to fix problems I encountered along the way, which I really enjoy

she lives in a wonderful quiet spot for nature lovers with beautiful forests not far away.
I will miss the horses, they are beautiful and have a lot of character, I really enjoyed working around them, and their curiosity.
