I stayed with this warm family some years ago and it was a fantastic experience. I felt like one more in the family and I even had a cool room for myself. The work wasn't hard at all, some days it was gardening or chopping what was collected from the garden and sometimes little cleaning tasks.

I remember having nice chats with Sigrid or just working in the garden and enjoying the peace of the countryside in Germany, picking up pumpkins for dinner, riding the bike around with Luisa and we even went to the premiere of an Italian film, precious memories that I will keep forever.

I lived with this wonderful family all month of January in a very nice village, Bilfingen.

… read more whom you can exchange your opinions and receive lots of useful advice. During this month I had to be absent two days during the week for a very important interview for my future in Germany and they had no hesitation about it, I really appreciated it!
Sebastian is a very kind guy who always brings joy to the room and with a passion for bikes; Luisa is a very nice and smart girl with which I had so many interests in common, it is always fun to be with her and we have done many new activities for me such as horseback riding, skiing, archery ..
They both have many talents and passions. If you like playing some instruments, if you are a fan of rock and metal or if you are a lover of some sport you will not be bored with them for sure!
My job was to do some housework. Sometimes it was cleaning the furniture in a room, other times washing the windows, other times tidying up a room, cooking ... normal household chores never too heavy and never more than 4-5 hours in the morning starting at about 8 and then a normal help after meals which is minimal as I ate and lived there as part of the family 100%. Many times I was in the company of Sigrid and she never hesitated to give me some more advice. Often the activities were inside given the winter season but in any other period there are many ways to help outdoors in the gardens so as to enjoy beautiful countryside surrounding the village! I spoke Italian with them so as to improve their and they help me to learn a bit of German.

I spent wonderful 4 weeks with Sigrid, Nino, Luisa and Sebastian. They are a truly loving and caring family. The stay here really exceeded my expectation! I was welcomed very warmly and felt like I was at home from the very first day. As for work there was mainly housekeeping when I was there (January) with a little bit of outside work in the
… read more garden. It was easy and fair. Accommodation was fantastic I had my own comfy room with a shared bathroom. We spent lots of time on the dining table with plenty of good food and joyful conversations.
Sigrid is very open and warm-hearted, patient and knowledgeable. I was extremely sick for a few days of my visit, and Sigrid was so sweet -- she checked on me to make sure I was ok and gave me as much rest as I needed without pressuring me back to work. I cannot think of anything they could have done to make me feel more cared for. Nino is a friendly and funny dad who always brings us lots of happiness and laughs. Luisa is a friendly and smart girl, she gave me a great tour around the nearby city Pforzheim and shared lots of things with me (music, games and drawings....etc). Sebastian is passionate and dedicated. He showed me the beauty of the woods by going cycling with me. We exchanged our love towards sports. It's nice to have company to do sports with.

Sigrid is a very nice and patient person, she will always be there if you have any questions or if you wanna talk about something. She is also very cheerful and energetic, always willing to offer you some opportunities to join some events happening around the family.
