Our farm is a proyect that searches to integrate organic coffee production in a big scale in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta with tourism we for support education and integration of communities around Minca, one of the the bigger ecotouristic centers of Colombia, we have the incredible opportunity make changes and keep the tradition of coffee growing and processing as it has been done for the last hundred.
We are a famous coffee hacienda in the colombian caribbean region located at 6 Kilometers from Minca, is a special coffee farm, the oldest coffee company in the caribbean region, the machinery we use, dates from 1892 and is still going strong. It is one of the most efficient system using environmental resources, and at the same time a bigger organic coffee plantation registered in the Sierra Nevada.
During the last years we integrated the alternative project in tourism to help us sustain the farm. Which in first place shows the process to the foreigner and we want to educate people to be more conscious with the environment and biodiversity of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta,
Our tour offeres to show the special process, the history and qualities of our proyect of Colombian Coffee, special definition of coffee, in the procedure of production and process using the classical machinery from hundred twenty years ,a real coffee museum functioning approaching a original hidraulic force, gravity and air pressure.
