I love hosting workaways, but only look on this site when I have availability, so don't be offe ded if I don't respond.
Looking for NOW till 20th MAY 2025
Hello, I live near a lovely town (Vallauris) in a wonderful part of France, 8 min drive to Cannes and Antibes, 20min to Nice and 50mins to Monaco.
I've been here 24 years, run 2 businesses in the area and am English. I speak French too, but am much funnier in English!
My house has just had a total renovation and currently I have 2 double bedrooms sharing a bathroom with shower, on an entire floor that are available for either 2 singles or 2 couples. I have fibre wifi and a garden, and a sea view of the Mediterranean sea.
I am 57 years old and reasonably sporty, non smoker, not much of a drinker and would like some help MAINLY Painting varnishing AND HANDYMAN STUFF plus doing painting and varnishing work just to finish off the recent project. 20 hours per week preferable, completely flexible on hours.
I am a decent cook, and great company if you like sardonic humor and board games/cards/backgammon.
Full Netflix and IPTV.
Having a car would be preferable, and there is parking, however there are decent buses and a coastal train access up until 8pm. Also I am always driving to either Antibes or Monaco if lifts are needed and I have a bicycle that anyone can use.

I live an English speaking life in an english speaking part of France. Access to amazing towns villages and countryside right on the doorstop. However I am integrated into French way of life and can help you enjoy this special part of France. I am used to having many visitors and have a kayak too for use to kayak to the islands off Cannes.

Ive lived here for 24 years and know all of the good and interesting places to visit/picnic/snorkle etc

We all got along as if we'd known each other for years, they are such great people.
Bryan was great at fixing things and gardening, Kim reorganised the house, and me, and my dog, perfectly.
We had a few outings seeing bands, kayaking, and my friends took them out too.

She is so much fun & has great knowledge of the local & surrounding areas.
While the work included gardening, cleaning & odd jobs, we weren’t asked to do anything we weren’t capable of.
We helped look after her beautiful dog Serena as well.

A great couple, lots of energy and humour and just great to have in my household.
They worked hard and diligently and achieved a great finish in the painting
Clean, tidy, respectful and good company.
I would welcome them back anytime.
She is very kind, very nice and funny.
During our stay we lived with Rachel, and other workaway people (Joel and Luis), we played funs games boards and always she teached us to play.
We can't forget Rachel's lovely dogs Zou zou and Serena with whom we had a walk and share a Zou zou's training… read more

They were eager to help and did a great job in prepping and painting a few rooms, they worked hard collecting and stacking wood and helped to clear some ground that was overrun with brambles weeds and years of broken trees.
