Hello everyone!
My name is Mariana and I’m a visual artist from Lisbon. I relocated from Copenhagen five years ago. Now I live with my daughter and boyfriend at our family farm 5 Km from Setúbal, an hour drive away from Lisbon. We have a few houses rented out to family and friends close by.
Our place is located on a larger land that used to be a big production farm up to the 60s with its buildings and roads still in use.
The farm is at the beautiful Arrábida Natural Park surrounded by olive orchard, vineyards and pine tree forests. Many trails have their starting point at the farm leading to stunning views over the sea and mountains.
This area also offers mountain-biking trails.
Setúbal is also a very nice town with museums, restaurants and a great food market.
There are also beautiful beaches nearby - ten minutes drive or an hour walk.
There is a public bus to Setúbal, Lisbon and other locations 5 minutes away.
We have an olive orchard from which we produce our own olive oil, an agroforest, fruit orchard and a small vegetable garden. We also have four lovely chicken and two cats, named Violeta and Kitty.
We are looking forward to welcome you at our farm.
We want to extend our agroforest up to the end of this year.
We will also plant more trees at our olive orchard.
Our aim is to regenerate the farm soil as much as we can.
We would love your help with this projects.
Of course we also have other tasks, helping with daily life in the house, general cleaning, maintenance. On a farm there’s always something to do ;)
We love food and if you’re a foodie too, you’ll fit in perfectly!
Other upcoming projects are:
- building a compost toilet
- mending and painting walls
- chopping fire wood

We offer a room for your stay with a shared bathroom or if you’re two people, we can put up a tent outside )
We have fast internet service.
We will eat together once or twice a day and there will be food available for your other meals.

There is public transportation to Lisbon or Setúbal. We are in Arrábida Nature Park where you will find lovely beaches and hiking trails.
We need you to have your own health insurance, either a EU blue card or similar.
