We stayed with Georgia and Dylan for 10 days and had a wonderful time! Their property is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, and though we did not have a car, there were some nearby hiking trails we enjoyed, as well as a general store and bus stop within walking distance (20-25 mins), and trails down to local beach access points which only

Dylan and Georgia were very welcoming, and their home is beautiful (plus they have 2 beautiful cats!). We worked assisting Georgia on her container house project; Georgia was very clear with start and break times, what was expected each day and was always on hand for questions, advice or assistance. The meals she made for us were delicious and the flexibility to cook and eat at any time in our own space was greatly appreciated (plus her homemade sourdough is delicious!!) Georgia was also kind enough to drop us into town when her schedule allowed, which enabled us to explore more of Sechelt (and there'd be even more to see if you had your own vehicle).
Thank you Georgia and Dylan for a wonderful stay and we wish you all the best with your future projects!Dejado por el anfitrión para el workawayer (Finn & Meg)
Finn and Meg were absolutely amazing Workaways — dare I say, my favourites so far! They approached every project with enthusiasm, kindness, and great common sense. They needed very little direction and just got stuck in, which is such a valuable trait.
During their 10-day stay, they contributed to so much: helping with our tiny home build,

I can’t recommend them highly enough, and we’d welcome them back anytime!

Oskar was a great help during his stay with us, bringing solid effort and care to a wide range of projects. He helped with landscaping work, including building new garden beds and moving lots of mulch and soil — there was plenty of wheelbarrowing, and he took it all on with determination. He also helped clear the driveway of leaves and debris,

On our big burning day, he took responsibility for maintaining the fire and keeping a close eye on it throughout. He even joined Dylan for a carpentry day, helping frame our workshop and using the mitre saw to keep things moving — he picked things up quickly and worked well as part of the team.
Oskar brought his own rhythm to the days, occasionally taking time to connect with loved ones back home and managing his own schedule a bit, which worked fine for our flexible setup. We truly valued his contributions and wish him all the best in his next chapter!

My stay at Dylan's and Georgias place was sadly just 10 days, but it has been some really nice 10 days. There was very good communication between me and Georgia, which also translates to the work side. I worked most days around 5h usually starting around 9 or 10, so it fit me perfectly. Concerning the surroundings, they live on the outside of

I lived in the unfinished container tiny house, which was nice and quite and gives more than enough space for you self. And like they communicated on the profile you have to plan your own things you want to do there, so it's not like you are doing a lot together which worked very good for me. There still was a nice evening together with selfmade pizza and sauna.
Thanks for hosting me, I would definitely recommend :)

Staying with Georgia and Dylan at Raintree Lane twice was absolutely incredible. Their are an absolute gem, making you feel at home, like part of the family.
Working on the yoga retreats was great. Their are incredibly inspiring and supportive! Creating space for everyone to feel at home to express your full potential.
The house, spa, food (they

The beach isn’t too far and being able to walk there was great! A beautiful spot to meditate, swim, contemplate :)
The cats raisin and rue are also the absolute best!

Meg and Tom arrived at our place at the beginning of October, they have been with us for 5 weeks and been a tremedous help on our tiny home project, ready to get stuck into any task they've been given.
Working on a variety of things, they have both applied themselves with great enthusiasium and hard work!
They've worked on concreting projects,

They will be a great addition to any host looking for help on their homestead projects! They are a pleasure to have around, very sweet, kind, and generous!
They even went to dog sit at a family home for a few days while a family member was abroad, we trust them wholeheartedly!
We had a great week staying with Dylan and Georgia, at their incredible home in Sechelt. We helped them with the interior construction work in their new tiny home, which included a variety of jobs, giving us insight into different aspects of building a home. From waterproofing parts of the exterior, to sizing, cutting and installing walls and
… read more ceilings, to building a mural wall, every day was fun and different. We used a variety of power tools, and flexed our common sense (and maths) skills in ways our normal office jobs dont allow. We'd like to one day build our own home, so working on the build at that stage, and chatting to Georgia and Dylan about their structure choices and future plans, was really useful and inspiring.
We lived in the tiny house, which was very rewarding as each day we saw the progression we'd made. Also, hearing the rain pattering on the roof, and watching the stars from the window above the bed (sooo comfy), was very wholesome. But we could also come and go in Georgia and Dylans house, for meals and the bathroom etc - Georgia's bread is in equal parts beautiful and tasty. Both of them were so generous and kind, and gave us loads of great recommendations for the local area. The Sunshine Coast is gorgeous, and Sechelt (and nearby Gibsons) have plenty to keep you entertained (particularly if you have a car).
Thanks so much for hosting us, and we can't wait to keep up with the future of Raintree Lane! 🤍
Josh and Lucy were such a lovely workaway couple and experience for us! Extremely friendly and respectful, and fun to have around. We wished they could have stayed with us longer!

I had a truly lovely experience staying with Georgia and Dylan!
They're both really laid-back and fun to be around! It felt like spending time with friends.
I learnt how to bake sourdough bread and could help clear out the garden. But my main focus was on trying to win over their cat Raisin, who is quite the character.
They also live near the

Nathalie stayed with us for two weeks this summer and was so wonderful and helpful to have around.
Each work day she got on with her tasks with little direction and created magic in our garden.
We even had her help with some jobs on our tiny home build.
It was lovely to have her stay with us, share meals and experiences together!
We would host

I had an incredible experience staying with Georgia and Dylan at Raintree Lane for one month. Their home is absolutely wonderful, and I was fortunate to stay in a newly renovated room with my own bathroom, which made my stay very comfortable.
The food at Raintree Lane was a highlight of my visit. Every day, I enjoyed fantastic, homemade sourdough
… read more bread and super healthy homemade meals. The effort Georgia and Dylan put into preparing these meals was evident, and it was a treat to eat such delicious and nutritious food daily.
The work was engaging and rewarding. I worked alongside Georgia and her dad on their tiny home project. This wasn’t a Workaway with meaningless jobs; the tasks were interesting and fulfilling. I got to work with all sorts of power tools, including table saws, impact drivers, and chop saws. I arrived at the perfect time and got to see the project from its inception through to the completion of the first fixing and structural work. The days flew by in a relaxed atmosphere, and I felt truly involved in the process.
Adding to the charm of Raintree Lane is their lovely cat, Raisin. He was playful, friendly, and always managed to entertain us...
Sechelt, the area where Raintree Lane is located, is a beautiful place with plenty to offer. There are some really good restaurants and it's full of nature. There are opportunities to go kayaking, canoeing, and cycling. Many of the local pubs and restaurants host karaoke events and quizzes, so there’s always something to do in the evenings.
Overall, my time at Raintree Lane was fantastic. Georgia and Dylan are amazing hosts who made me feel welcome and part of their family. I highly recommend this Workaway experience to anyone looking for a fulfilling and enjoyable stay.Dejado por el anfitrión para el workawayer (Oliver)
Ollie just left our place after 4 weeks working on our Tiny Home project and we miss him already!
He was enthusiatic about our project and was so knowledgable about machinery, carpentry, and lots of other things.
Ollie is wonderful to have around, very social and respectful. We are looking forward to his return to Canada.
