  I'm Isabel and I have a land next to a beautiful river in Montemor-o-Novo, Alentejo, Portugal.
  
  
  I had a great opportunity and brutal privilege to buy this plot of heaven 4 years ago - 600 meters of river, 8.5 hectares, 4 water mines, 1 water mill, 2 houses, 1 carpentry and a looooot to plant! I feel a great responsibility to protect this land and ecosystem and my focus is to plant a beautiful forest, regenerate the river, rebuild the ruins, create new infrastructures (dry toilets, outside kitchen, carpentry, etc) and provide a safe space for beautiful people and wild animals to stay or circulate.
  
  I have dogs, cats and a piggy.
  
  I need help, all the time! This land is so big!
  I have a lot of friends staying here, depending on the season, with different kinds of interests and knowledge.
  I have volunteers on small seasons every year, usually around 3 months spread throughout the year (1+1+1), in wich I organize activities that require multiple hands. 1 week trial is required, I've learned that it's healthy for both parts. I'm very receptive to other knowledge, organization systems and experiences.

  Here in Montemor-o-Novo you'll have the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people that are focused and working on land regeneration, permaculture, agroforestry, cooperatives, artistic projects, etc.
  
  Montemor-o-Novo ia a super artistic and creative small city. It's a city full of associations and projects that work on sculpture, cinema, animation, puppetry, theater, architecture, community development, local production and land regeneration. We have cultural activities every weekend.

  Ayuda

  I would love to find people that feel comfortable to embrace a specific responsibility during their stay, sometimes working with a lot of people and other times working by themselves. Self-discipline is an important trait.
  
  Right now we need help to:
  \ AGROFOREST MAINTENANCE:
  - maintenance of around 1,5 hectare of forest and fruit trees;
  - make cuttings;
  - seed and plant trees, bushes, vegetables, etc;
  - produce bio-fertilizers and manage the worm farm;
  - take out weeds and cover the lines with organic matter.
  
  \ MANAGE A TREE NURSERY:
  - seeding, weeding and cleaning;
  
  \ CLEAN THE RIVER:
  - clean the river margins from invasive plants and substitute with local ones;
  - clear space and open pathways to the river, etc;
  - clean plastics.
  
  \ CONSTRUCTION:
  - construction of a hen house.
  - cleaning old water structures and constructions.
  
  \ ART AND LAND ART:
  - building artistic objects around the farm;

  Alojamiento

  - shared warm room
  - hot shower and toilets.
  - the meals are done in a shared kitchen. We provide ingredients for 3 meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner and sometimes we all cook together.

  My house is 2km away from the city, so it's very easy to have an independent life and move around walking or biking.
  You can participate on many different activities, such as theater, yoga, singing, jam sessions, chess, football, etc.
  
  Here at the farm there are a lot of people passing by and helping out, it sometimes get's intense. I love to socialize but I also love my quiet meditation time and privacy. I value people that find their own rhythm and space, that are independent and that communicate with clarity.
  
  I would love to find someone with a sense of community but also independent and focused on their tasks.
  
  I'm absolutely closed to racists, fascists, xenophobes, sexists and people who manifest any kind of disrespect or authoritarianism towards others. I'm very strict on this one.
