CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A WORKAWAYER WHO CAN HELP WITH basic maintenance (basic carpenter skills are welcomed) THANK YOU 💕
We’re an international family originally from Berlin, and we recently moved to Andalusia — and we absolutely love it here!
We found a very special house in the countryside in Nerja. It had been quite neglected for a long time, but luckily the main renovation work has already been completed. Now we’re looking for some help with our ongoing daily projects.
At the moment, we mostly need help with household tasks, cleaning, some basic carpentry work (that`s a PLUS!), occasional wall painting, creative projects (depending on what’s needed at the time), upcycling ideas, and general garden work.
★ Its a great advantage if you speak Spanish or Russian
PS: It’s really important for us that you know we don’t live in the city center, but out in the countryside in Nerja. We’re looking for someone who is very independent, adventurous, and easygoing.
You can walk to the beach in about 15–20 minutes, and we’re happy to offer a bike if you’d like to ride into the town center. Our place is especially perfect for nature lovers, hikers, and anyone who enjoys being surrounded by the outdoors while still being close to a small town.
If you’re more of a city person and only enjoy city life, this might not be the right place for you — and that’s totally okay!

What we might need help with around the house

My daughter and I follow a specific healthy diet, and I don’t have fixed cooking times. For this reason, I prefer that you buy your own food and cook whatever you like. In exchange, the help is a maximum of 3 hours per day, 5 days a week, and the rest of the time is completely yours.
As a workawayer myself in the past, I also worked 3 hours a day and bought my own food, so this feels fair and familiar to me. Everyone has their own dietary preferences (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, meat-eater, etc.), and we also have our own way of eating. This setup gives everyone more freedom and independence.
We appreciate someone with a flexible attitude and an open mind. We prefer a person who is independent, as we have a somewhat non-conventional schedule and are often out and about. I also have work commitments and responsibilities with my daughter, so there may be periods when we can’t spend as much time together as we’d like.
Just being flexible and everybody will have the best time!

Close by — just 7 minutes by car or about 20 minutes by bike — is Nerja, a beautiful coastal town. It offers stunning beaches, amazing nature, and a very colorful mix of people that makes the place especially interesting.
The surrounding areas are just as beautiful: Maro, Frigiliana, La Herradura, and Málaga are all in vicinity (by bus, walk or car) and there’s always something to explore or do.
