Anna stayed with us for almost 2 weeks. It was wonderful having her. She helped with the maintaining the house and weeding the garden while I worked. My house couldn't be cleaner. Anna is a wonderful cook too. She makes the most delicious "Carrot and Lentil Soup"
Anna is also a Reiki Therapist. She did some Reiki on me and it was so amazing.

I spent 2 weeks with Pauline and had a great time at her place! I was able to get a insight into a kiwi family life which was a nice experience. Her dog Penny is a really lovely and endearing animal and I enjoyed it to go for walks with her. My tasks were to keep the house clean and support Pauline with the household. The work was pretty chilled

Barbara was fantastic. She is a lovely person and fitted into our family really well.
Barbara knows what she is doing in a garden and reconstructed some of it in a creative way, she also knows her plants from her weeds. We had a lot of fun choosing new plants to add a splash of colour to the gardens. They look great.

Good first workaway experience. Pauline is a lovely person! The house and the gardens are quite big so there are different activities to do and the workawayers room was comfortable (it's separated from the house, so very good for the privacy and with a bit of wifi). Although in the beginning everything seemed a bit unorganized due to a spontaneous decision to stay at Pauline´s and the events that had happened earlier that month as well as with Pauline being quite busy, everything turned out well in the end and I
… read more was welcomed warm heartedly. I stayed in a single room in a seperate housing from the main house and was offered some really good food. The work wasn´t challenging, mostly light tasks such as cleaning and wrapping up stuff which needed to go to the attic. I really liked the fact that Pauline let me choose when and what to work which made it possible to visit my friends and former homestay family. All in all I really enjoyed my stay with the family, especially the conversations I had with Pauline, Christiana, James and Oliver. I apologize for this late feedback. I wasn´t able to leave one earlier because I was quite busy myself and alway had a bad internet connection. I wish the family all the best for the future. :)

Weibke stayed with us for 3 months. We loved having her. She has a lot of experience in gardening and landscaping so I let her redesign my garden and it looks amazing. We also now have a fantastic dry stone wall in our garden aptly named Weibke's wall. Weibke always has a smile on her face and is a lovely happy person to have around.

Pauline is a really kind and lovely person, great to talk to and she even let me realise my own ideas in her garden which was absolutely great for me and made me enjoy the work a lot.
She also took me to really nice places for example to the beach at Auckland‘s beautiful west coast, or Mountainbiking in Waitangi!

… read more garden. The jobs were never too hard and I had enough free time. I had my own room and I was provided very good and delicious food. Mt Eden is a centrally located suburb. There is a bus stop only a few minutes walking from the house and buses take you to town very frequently. Nice neighbourhood with shops and restaurants in walking distance. I stayed with Pauline and her family for a couple of days and it was a great time. It was my first workaway experience and it couldn't have been a better one. I helped Pauline in the garden and the work she gave me was never too hard. I had a really nice time.

Niko stayed with us for a few days before he set off for California. he settled into our family quickly and was really easy to get on with. He was more than happy to help with any job that I asked him to do. I highly recommend Niko to anyone, he was a pleasure to have staying with us.
