Hello im Samuel, I'm 33 now and I'm from Colombia, but have lived in Spain, Italy and around Europe for the past 6 years, where I had my workaway experience. I am a designer and photographer, and builder, right now I work restoring a old and magical colonial house in the city of Cartagena - Colombia

I need help in different tasks like cleaning, maintenance of the house, organizing some materials, painting... Also im am working with woods, metals and rocks, doing tables and other furniture, and also some small construction projects...so anyone with skills in those areas willing to teach me and learn from here !

I offer a private room with shared toilets, is in the same house we are working in the center of the city.
Volunteers normally help +-4-5 hours in the morning. I don't provide food! but you can use my kitchen

Jakuba is a great person. Friendly, tidy and organized. He help us with general maintenance in the house, restoring cement stairs, metal fens and painting some walls. He’s a dedicated person, with a lot of manual skills. Super recommended for those jobs. Definitely host him again.

I spent 2.5 weeks helping with the house. Camilo who was in charge of the project at the time was very welcoming and helpful with all my questions and Jairo with whom I spent most of the time is a super lovely and funny guy. INCREÍBLE! Esta fue nuestra primera experiencia con workaway. Estuvimos por tres semanas haciendo proyectos de arte y ayudando en su restaurante. Recomendamos participar de este hermoso proyecto! Nosotros elegimos trabajar durante la mañana para pasear por la tarde. Hicimos trabajos de limpieza, cocina y construcción hasta el mediodía.

I very much enjoyed my stay with Samuel. Samuel is constructing a multi-use, cultural-centre-like space. I have had a really nice experience in this project. The house is in the middle of the most beatiful part of the city, always full of colours and smiles. The work in the house is changing all the time, so you will learn and do a lot of diferent things..
I love to stay there and for sure I recommend this workway.
