Hello we are Margie and Terry, a late middle aged couple who love to travel. We now have Margie’s elderly mum living with us. We really enjoy hosting people from other places. We would welcome a single traveller who is happy to do a bit of gardening and help inside. We do not have enough work for more than one workaway. We need someone to do general house tasks - really only an hour a day, some days two. We live in north Brisbane and a bus to the city runs past our door. There is lots to see and do around Brisbane.

We need people to do gardening tasks. A willingness to do some housework such as cleaning kitchen cupboards, vacuuming, mopping. Maybe some painting if you are up for it.

We have wifi. I think it is adequate for work from home as I do myself some days. There is a desk in the bedroom and lovely outdoor sitting space.

I had such a great time staying with Margie, Terry and Mary! They made me feel at home and made sure I was having a good time. They also cooked a lovely dinner every night! Work was really only a couple of hours a day and could be done when it suited me. Would recommend!

This was a last minute request by these workaways. Unfortunately this workaway did not really work for us. Deborah and Manon did not seem understand what was required of them or complete the work tasks requested. Manon did however try to do her share. I believe the issue may have been due to language barriers as we do not speak French and their… read more

Terry and Margie made me feel at home instantly and welcomed me into their family. Margie's cooking was fab! The work was more than fair and the room was clean, comfy and spacious (with own private bathroom). They took me out to lunch, to the movies and recommended places to visit. We had a great time staying with Margie and Terry. They were welcoming and kind hosts. The work was very reasonable, only a few hours a day, which left us plenty of time to explore Brisbane.

My stay with Margie and Terry was fabulous! This family is warm and welcoming. They helped me with many things and made me feel like a part of their family.
The chores they ask for in exchange for their hospitality are quite doable, just housekeeping for an hour or two a day, which is more than reasonable.

Our Workaway with Margie and Terry was absolutely fantastic! they are the most kind and warm people you can imagine and they helped us out so much.
The work itself was pretty chill. we did a bit of gardening and helped with some cleaning in the house for 1 or 2 hours a day
