Dianne and her sons took us in over Christmas and new years. Nevertheless she made us feel welcome and part of the family. We learned a lot about station life and the aboriginal culture. The work was very fulfilling, the working hours were okay and our work was appreciated. Feeding the calfes was very fun!

Dianne is a very good chef. She always made sure I had enough to eat and the meals were incredibly delicious. Her 4 grandchildren are very friendly and I was happy to get to know the whole family. Feeding the animals was also a lot of fun. The calves in particular were incredibly sweet.
However, I wouldn't go there again. Firstly, the bus ride to

Dianne was friendly, but I didn't get the feeling that she really wanted to talk to me and just said what I had to do. There were hardly any other topics of conversation. The working hours also didn't match. Instead of the 4-5 hours of work written in the advertisement, I always worked 7-8 hours. When she told me on Saturday that I had Sunday off, I was happy. However, on Sunday morning the first thing she said after greeting me was that I should dig a hole for her. So I didn't really have a day off even though it was described that way in the ad. I hardly saw any exciting things and there wasn't really anything for me to learn. Unfortunately, I felt a bit taken advantage of. Maybe this position is more for people who just want to have some peace and quiet and don't have a problem with practically not speaking all day and working seven to eight hours a day. However, it wasn't for me. And I'm not writing this because I was dissatisfied. I just wish I had known that myself beforehand and then I would have preferred to go somewhere else instead... I still wish everyone the best and thank you for the experience.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

I stayed two weeks at this place and it was great. I was very lucky as they were mustering during this time. It was so interesting and exciting to see what the work with the cattle includes. Alan, Therry and Robbie let me try out a lot of things I've never done before and were really patiently answering all my questions.

The four kids are great, smart, very social and we had a lot of fun spending time together.
I am very grateful for this experience and recommend this place to everyone who is interested and willing to immerse yourself into this very interesting, tough and inspiring way of life.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

We enjoyed having Tim with us. He was an asset, helping where need, agreeable and easy to get on with.
We would have him back anytime.

I had an amazing time at the station. I helped out with mustering & fencing, reorganizing some sheds and a few odd jobs around the homestead, and tidied and cleaned inside on some rainy days. Allan, Terry and Robbie included me in a lot of their work on the cattle station and were always ready to answer my millions of questions. These last few

Our experience with Dianne's family was unforgettable! Even though the adaptation in a remote farm was a bit hard at the beginning, we learnt to feed numerous animals (the calves were the best!) and do other small tasks related to the house or the farm. Dianne's meals were fantastic, so were her stories about Aboriginal culture. She made sure we

Thoroughly enjoyed my three weeks on Mt Denison Station. It was a definite transition from the hostels of Sydney -- what with being over 30km from the nearest neighbours, enclosed by horizons of endless red dust, spinifex and mulga, where cattle outnumbered humans 800 to 1, and where the sun shone so intensely it made me long for the dark even in
… read more dead of winter -- but for all the adjustment it was a most enriching expedition. Dianne is one of the hardiest people I've met, such that I always felt somewhat pathetic when working alongside her! She and her family took care of my needs, made me feel at home (you can be sure you will NEVER eat poorly here), answered my (many) questions and opened my eyes to the charm, hardship and general bitter-sweetness of outback life. These are Australians who, I feel, truly merit to have "fought the land, endured the lash, and waited for the rains." You will learn a great deal from them.
I only wish I could have stayed longer. A massive thank you to Dianne and her folk, and they should know that -- if farming life ever permits the time -- they are most welcome to come and visit the northwest coast of Scotland.Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

We had a very enjoyable week with Dianne and her family on Mt Denison station. We helped with some cleaning up around the homestead (there's lots to do!) gardening, and feeding the animals (donkeys, ponies, goats and chickens). Dianne makes sure that volunteers have a variety of jobs and she (and Terry) are great cooks, so every meal is delicious!

Staying in Mt Denison was a unique outback experience. Dianne and her family were really kind and during my stay I had the oportunity to share a little bit with each one. I helped with the house duties and with taking care of the animals and garden, as well as sometimes taking care/playing with her lovely grandchildren!

Dianne and her 3 sons welcomed me into their home and allowed me to experience a little bit of life on a cattle station. I arrived when there was no mustering taking place, so helped in the house and garden. The family were happy to answer any questions i had and had loads of stories to tell from their decades of running the station. Altogether a

We spent one week with this wonderful family. They provide for us excellent food and we learnt a lot about the real outback life. Work at cattle station was amazing, we enjoyed a lot feed the animals and experienced the life in this remote area. We recommend this family to everybody!
We loved having Sarah and Francesco stay with us. They fitted in extremely well with all the family (3 generations). Their work was excellent and all tasks they were given were completed to the highest standard. They are wonderful people to have on our property and share share our lives with. It is a great place to learn about the REAL Australia. Apart from the cattle station daily hand-on experience, Dianne shared with us lost of fascinating stories from her life and work with local communities. If you do not mind basic conditions and are ready to face challenges - it is a great place to be!
