I'm 25 years old always looking to get the most of life, trying to be balanced in all aspects of my life, find that happiness that everybody's looking for, living the life at it's finest, I love what I do what is? growing the best peaches in town.
We love to share the kitchen with my mom, to cook, walk, cycling, hiking, most important we love to meet people from all over the world. Let's make the world seem more smaller.
Me and my family run a peach orchard. It's a family business when my grandpa begins with the research and try to find new ways of crops with the only and main purpose to offer a better life for our people due to civil war the economics became really bad and slow and this crops begin to offer a new way of living for our peasants, the road has been tough due to different factors, climate factors, tax issues, lack of credits, we don't have insurance for the government, in fact the push us to pay a high rate tax, lack of investment, no funds for research.
In 2000 we founded the union of growers. My uncle and oldest brother and others members decided to united efforts to become one single member growers corporation.
Have you heard the quote union make the strength? we got to the point that if we want to become notably and most mentioned in Guatemala City and most important in the congress all the growers must get together.
Last three years we push and encourage our congress to pass a bill who will benefit the union of growers and give us some help to maintain and make our business more reliable and self-sustainable.
Our organization almost colapse in 2003 when the Government negotiate the commercial free trade with EEUU and with Chile giving 0% tax fee to those countries to export to Guatemala as many tons as the wanted on products like apples and peaches.
It is unfair how the U.S. economical policies works in favor of them and left nothing but more poverty to the region, U.S. has 0% fee to export fruits to Guatemala is this fair?
Finally, there is not much left to do than to try to make the bussiness more realible and self-suntaintable, the last years have been very bad in terms of harvest and picking season and considering the climate change is true and is happening right now (fuck trump), so the times doesnt seem to hopefull.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have, I'd be more than happy to answer any inquiry, anytime!!
Sincerely
JoseTipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

What they could learn?
The way of living in Guatemala highlands, figured out how lucky they are living in cities or inner cities in countries where basics services like clean water, flush systems, and all the accommodations they used to have back at home, think you life it's a thug life?? here you will learn what is the real meaning of thug, anyway everybody has their own way to see the life, for me what is really all about is it to leave this place better way better that I found it, so that is my goal in life, to give to our more segregate people hope, like the song said, love we were made to love, I want to share and spread lots of love and then I will set my goal, so if anyone out there is willing to help me to give something in exchange of lots of good many thing we have received through our life are more than welcome.Proyectos con niños

It's not exactly agricultural duties we as a nonprofit organization just trying to become more notorious international and with the right guidance try to get international funds to continue with the research and improve the quality of life of out peasants with projects who are tied with the agricultural duties on the field.
Want to check it out how's the "know how of the business" this is the right spot, cultural exchange, experience Guatemalan life at its finest, want not to be the typical tourist who only likes to go to places build with the only and main porpoise to get your money our of your pockets and show your dollars.
So basically you will help me with paperwork, tax income declaration, try to make alternative projects to improve the quality of life of our peasant, we are extremely lucky we have enough labor so it won't necessary to give a hand on the farm.
Best place in town, to take a deep breath and start over, with the beautiful landscape of "Quetzaltenango" and the breathtaking views of the "Santa Maria Volcano".Idiomas

The best place to take a deep breath and start over, It's a lovely and warm cabin in the middle of the orchard, with magnificent views of the highland of Guatemala, and the silhouettes of santiaguito and santa maria volcano. Actually santiaguito volcano one of the most active volcanoes in central america, the throw ash and if you're on a luck you can see lava flowing down, definitely worth the experience.
Has a living room with WiFi access, a remote color tv only local channels, two king size beds, the bathroom, a little kitchen when you can cook, and prepare meals, also there is the plaza or local market who runs everyday and you can get the fresh veggies from the valley from a very low price, and of course you can get free peaches yummy yummy.
To Do's! well you can take a walk trough the peach orchard to see the know & how of the business, there's a horse stable with four beautiful horses to take a ride or go on your own to the "Plaza" to grab groceries or fresh veggies, perfect environment to have a blast of Guatemalan culture.
There are buses all the time, the green line "Rosario" every bus approx every 15 minutes, Q.2.00 for the ride to "Salcaja" take it right two blocks away from Central Park "Parque Central" "Quetzaltenango" on the way looking for "Tribunales" or the "Old Courts" or exactly in "La Taqueria" second entrance and it's going to drop you out right in front of my house in "Salcaja".Algo más...
"Rosario Green Line" "Urbanas" Take it at Central Park Quetzaltenango, 2 blocks away at "La taqueria restaurant" its a 10 min ride to get to "Salcaja" where I live Q.2.00 the ride, drop out at "Parque El Carmen""Salcaja", I live really close to the park.
