We are currently looking for general help around the house and property We have a lot that we'd like to work on, but no matter what your skills are....or are not, there is always something to do around here. General feeding and brushing my horse or care of the chickens, watering the garden, light house cleaning, or whatever you can do will help us. We will also accept last-minute helpers, provide if we have space available.

Our experience has shown that people who request far in advance, rarely show up. Last minute requests are ok, if we have space. *️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️*️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️
We have a small ranch in the Mojave Desert. We have a horse, 60 chickens, and a bunch of cats, and a dog named Mugsy, that loves to play ball. We have 8 kids, but none living at home. They're all grown and gone.
We grow peaches, apricots, apples, almonds, pistachios, pomegranates, 6 kinds of grapes, We also have a garden and grow lots of different vegetables. Unfortunately, the drought Has killed a lot, and we had to replace 17 trees. We’d like to plant more.
We live about an hour from Death Valley, about an hour from Las Vegas, 5 hours from los Angeles. There is sometimes transportation. Try google. to and from Pahrump, or you can use your own car, or perhaps hitch a ride. We live 60 miles from the airport and up to 75 miles from different areas of Las Vegas.
In March we get the garden beds ready for Spring planting, and we start seeds in the greenhouse. Knowledge of basic gardening would be very helpful
There is always something to do here. We could really use your help.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

We are looking for help in the garden, help in the yard, help with planting, weeding, watering, pruning, brushing my horse, or whatever else you can do.
Tasks would be done early in the day, because it can get quite warm here in the desert... and the rest of the day and weekend are yours to do whatever you like.Idiomas hablados

I have to admit, there is not a lot to do around here in the way of nightlife. There is a museum, a few casinos, bars, a bowling alley, and plenty of restaurants. If you come with your own transportation, there are lots of places to explore, hike, relax. Our home is very quiet. It's very peaceful here. Our house is not fancy, as it’s still not finished. We’re working on that.

We don't smoke, drink, or take drugs, and don't allow them on our property.
We have cats and a dog IN our home. If you don't like animals, or if you have allergies, this is NOT the place for you.Un poco más de información

First of all, Roger, when I failed to rent a car, you drove all the way to Las Vegas to pick me up. (For those planning to do Workaway, please make sure to check the rental car company’s rules when renting a car in Las Vegas.)

you are truly my new family in the United States. I experienced all the firsts with you. First volunteer work, first time hanging out with strangers for a long time. If you are a host checking references, look no further. You won't fine nicer people or better workers.
Happy travels! You are always welcome to come back.

We really enjoyed the work. We mostly only worked outside and helped around the garden, with the animals and some mechanical tasks. The tasks aren't too difficult and easy to handle but Rodger always helped us out if we had any questions.
