We loved having Claudia in our home and getting to know her. She turned out to be quite the artist and two of her paintings are hanging in the back patio. She was fun, funny, interesting, respectful, independent and interested in history, politics, and American culture. We spent a lot of time comparing the US, to South America, to Germany and

I had a wonderful 10-day stay with Amy and Luis!
Both of them were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my time there. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel like part of the family.
Amy, who grew up bilingual and spent many years living in South America, and Luis, who is originally from Cuba, gave me a truly unique and

During my stay, I helped with general cleaning of the apartment and took on some small projects—like reorganizing the home office and creatively designing outdoor picture boards that were later displayed on the back wall. I really enjoyed these tasks and was happy to contribute in a creative way.
Amy and Luis were always there when I had questions and went out of their way to support me. They even drove me to and from the train station whenever I went on solo trips to explore the area, which made everything so much easier and more enjoyable.
All in all, it was a truly lovely experience, and I’m very grateful for the time I spent with them.
Thank you so much, Amy and Luis, for everything—you made my stay special!

Jeff was very easy going, bonded with our dog, offered to cook and help with small things without being asked and completed a couple of projects with Luis and while we were out of town and did a great job. He was thoughtful, courteous, well read and well traveled. You are welcome back any time. (Homie cried when you left. LOL)

I stayed with Amy and Luis kind of last minute when they were going away for their sons wedding. They met me at the airport and we spent a day together before they left me to look after their dog Homie and their lovely house. They made sure I had everything I needed and kept in touch and were easily reachable, as was their daughter who was nearby.

Their dog Homie is one of the best dogs ever. I walked him every day and did some work in the garden. They were even so kind as to offer me a bed when I returned to Atlanta for the last few days of my trip, picking me up and dropping me off at the airport. Excellent hosts and definitely recommended! I miss Homie!

Serena was very sweet and a pleasure to host. She was respectful, fun, and great with our dog. She could work independently and was also fun to have around. She was very serious about improving her English and kept a notebook with new words and American idioms. I admire her discipline to training for a half marathon even though it was cold here.

Amy and Louis are my precious friends in Georgia. When I joined them they were getting ready for their son's wedding party. Suri was fun, hardworking, self starting, energetic and interesting. We loved having her and still stay in touch and have gotten together a couple of times since she has moved on to other hosts. I spent two weeks at the beginning of July 2023 at Amy and Luis's house, and what can I say... it was all truly wonderful. I can't put into words how kind they were to me and how much they conveyed in just two weeks. When I think back to those days, my heart fills up; they treated me like family, and I never felt out of place.

During one weekend i took a flight to go to Miami and I visited it, Atlanta airport is very big and there are a lot of flights that you can take to go wherever you want.
They always provided me with all the food I needed, and it was always delicious.
I got to know and bond with Amy's daughter, Hallison, and her boyfriend Jack. They are wonderful people who made my days unforgettable. They took me to the lake, to the park to see the fireworks for the 4th of July, we went to watch a baseball game, went shopping, explored the city together, and they introduced me to all the delicious fast food I didn't know. In return, I introduced them to authentic Italian food by cooking lasagna for them.
It was my first experience with Workaway, and I couldn't have been luckier.
I truly hope that one day we can meet again... perhaps you will come to visit me in Italy.
I will never forget what you did for me and how you made me feel; a simple thank you is not enough.
Take care, your Italian girl.
