  We are a small Eco Lodge located in the mountains near Turrialba. We specialize in birds and birdwatching. Its a very beautiful place to be and a top destination for birdwatchers visiting in Costa Rica.

  This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining the valuable experience of working in ecotourism in Costa Rica. This is a good place for people who want to experience nature in a beautiful setting. It's also a great opportunity to practice your Spanish, because we are located in one of the most “untouristy” areas of Costa Rica. A love for birds, animals and nature and an interest in sustainable living is important. We raise chickens, pigs, calves, and cows and make some cheese. We will be very happy if you pick our place as your destination to be a volunteer.

  Ayuda

  A desire to learn is a basic requirement of everyone volunteering here.
  Some of the skills we are looking for in a Helper: Computer and Marketing/website design skills and Photography are good as we need someone who can help promote our lodge through social media. We are interested in having someone who knows how to help us to make TicToc videos of our lodge experience and some of the Chef preparing recipes.
  Helpers may also help with trail maintenance and farm work, help with greeting and helping guests at the lodge etc.
  Candidates should have at least a beginning level Spanish (a little Spanish will be big asset), be very comfortable in nature, and be interested in exploring a sustainable, lifestyle. If you have special skills or abilities in any areas and you would be willing to help us, please let us know!

  Alojamiento

  Only during our low season do we have room for a volunteer. You will have your own room. It's a lodge and the rooms are very nice. We also provide delicious meals. Our goal is for you to have the best experience possible during your stay. We enjoy having volunteers and are happy to get to know you while you are here. We hope our place will live up to all your expectations.

  You will find a friendly warm atmosphere with delicious food and almost perfect spring like weather. We are a destination for bird watchers. In your free time there are many fun things to do outdoors. We have extensive trails for hiking. It’s also a great place for photographers, naturalists, rappelling, and the best whitewater rafting nearby on the Rio Pacaure.

  We have wifi in the main building of the lodge so its pretty good and at night it is usually free after 8:00pm so there is a chance to get work done if you are a digital nomad.
