We are a boutique hostel on the stunning black sand beach of El Paredón, Guatemala—just steps from the ocean. Our space is all about surf, sunsets, and a laid-back coastal lifestyle, with a friendly, vibrant atmosphere. Volunteers can enjoy surf lessons, our beachfront pool, and a fitness area, or simply relax while soaking in the energy of the village, nearby mangroves, and the rhythm of coastal life.
As hosts, we are passionate about creating a welcoming environment where volunteers feel like part of the family. Our team includes 10 locally paid staff, covering reception, maintenance, kitchen, and restaurant service, all working together to keep the hostel running smoothly and create a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests and volunteers alike.
Volunteering with us as a Hospitality & Cultural Exchange Helper is more than helping out—it’s an opportunity to contribute to the guest experience, support daily operations, and engage in meaningful cultural exchange. Volunteers gain hands-on experience, personal growth, and the chance to connect with people from around the world, while being part of a lively, supportive community. Every day brings fun, learning, laughter, and memorable experiences that make life at our hostel truly unique.

Beyond the hostel, you will engage with the local community, experience Guatemalan culture, and exchange ideas, stories, and traditions with fellow travelers. We welcome volunteers to join our Hospitality & Cultural Exchange team, supporting our hostel by engaging with guests and helping to create a warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. Volunteers have the opportunity to contribute in meaningful ways, whether through guest interaction, assisting with behind-the-scenes tasks, or helping to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.
We are also looking for creative individuals with skills in photography, videography, or content creation to capture and share the unique experiences of life at our hostel, helping to showcase the vibrant culture and community we nurture. Additionally, yoga teachers are encouraged to offer classes, contributing to a balanced and inspiring environment for both guests and volunteers.

We provide a staff house located just 150 meters from the beach. Accommodation is in a shared dorm with 8 single beds, air conditioning, lockers, and shared bathrooms with showers. The space is reserved exclusively for volunteers and staff. A fully equipped kitchen and WiFi are available, and the house is located within the hostel property.

As part of the exchange, volunteers work 5 shifts per week of 5-6 hours each, with 2 full days off, giving them the opportunity to explore and enjoy the beauty of Guatemala. We provide 7 breakfasts and 5 staff meals per week, which can be adjusted to accommodate dietary restrictions, allowing everyone to enjoy fresh, local flavors while connecting with the team in a friendly, social environment.
Volunteers also have access to a kitchen area in the staff section, so they can prepare their own meals if they wish. Our goal is to ensure that everyone enjoys delicious, nourishing food while feeling included as part of our hostel family.
