hello,
We are an English family living in Spain 30+ years. We have had many workaways (please read their reviews) . We would like help with gardening and painting a wooden deck.
Private accommodation and food is included. We are close to the beach and countryside.
Feel free to contact us with questions.

Sotogrande is a great location near the sea and the countryside. You can do a day trip to Gibraltar or Morocco from here, cave tours, sailing, diving, hiking, and kayaking...

The workaway guests can join in with the yoga and hiking and there is a bike they can borrow to go to the beach. In the area there are many nice white moorish villages to visit but you would need a transport. There is country side inland where some like to go for a run. At the weekends there is the option to do day trips up the coast to Gibraltar, Tarifa and Marbella.

We have a private parking area in the garden and guests/workaways can use the privacy of the bathroom in the gym which is separate to the house if they prefer.

Judicaël is a super nice young man, he is strong and a good worker. I had him move all the rubble from a DIY project to the skip, then digging in the garden to make a path, also other gardening like weeding and cutting back bushes. He helped me paint my apartment which I could not do without him as I cannot move the furniture on my own. He was… read more

It was a pleasure to have Manon stay with us. She is a nice calm person and responsible. Her English is very good and the fact she has her own transport to get here was handy. She helped us clean and paint a roof top, clean inside and outside, paint chairs and do the gardening. I would recommend her and host her again.

Fran is a gentle soul and very easy to have around as he is quiet and clean. He helped in the garden cutting back the palm tree leaves and branches and doing the many odd jobs around the house. We would welcome him back to our home again.

Maro is a good worker. He is quiet, polite, clean and easy to have as a guest. He is strong and his English is very good. He helped us with the building and also was the first to offer to help in the kitchen. On the last day cleaned his room before he left, which I thought was mature and considerate for a 24 year old boy.

Kyle is a great guy and I can highly recommend him. He only stayed with us for a week but we made friends very quickly and he helped me paint the house. He is lots of fun and has had interesting life so full of stories. He is a good painter and cook. We hope he will return again someday.

I had a really good time staying with Cathy and Jim. They are really kind people with great accommodation and tasty meals cooked by Cathy every day. The work wasn't stressful, I mainly helped with building work and painting. Weekends off are great to visit the close beaches.

Jason is fabulous, he is a hard worker and good fun to have around. His dog Maya is really cool too, she is as chilled out as him. Jason helped us a lot with the building work and also was really good at cooking vegetarian meals. I can highly recommend him.

It was a pleasure to have Craig stay with us. He is a nice relaxed guy who gets on with everyone. We especially liked listening to him play guitar. He worked hard in the garden digging and weeding etc. He also helped look after my daughter who liked him a lot. I would gladly recommend him.

Roberto was great. He is super easy going and cheerful, works hard and is a fantastic cook. He is knowledgeable about many things and used his initiative to keep busy with the many jobs here in the garden without needing any supervision. He is clean, the perfect guest!
