Encompassed on the slopes of the Sierra Madre Sur, surrounded by waterfalls and tropical forests lies our "finca", one of the oldest and most beautiful organic coffee plantations in Oaxaca. We are a family with two children (5 and 7 years) and both of us have been coffee farmers for five generations.
Part of our coffee plantation is a glamping eco-resort where we welcome visitors from all over the world, giving coffee tours and tastings.
If you are looking for a quiet place in nature and want to learn more about coffee farming, this is the perfect place for you. We're looking for volunteers who are proactive, open-minded, reliable and hard-working with different skill sets.

You can get to know the artisanal process of one of the best high altitude coffees in the world and you can learn more about Mexican - and specifically Oaxacan - culture and gastronomy. You can also practice your Spanish here :-)
Help needed will depend on the time of year. The harvest season of the coffee beans is in November and beginning of January but help is needed year-round with various projects. At the moment, we need help with building a self-sustaining garden. If you have any experience with this, please message us immediately :-)
Lastly, help is also needed in construction, in the kitchen, and with various other maintenance tasks.
Please let us know in your message what your skills are.
Spanish and Adriana also speaks English and German
Depending on availability, you can either stay in one of our tents (the bathroom is shared) or you will be staying in a bungalow next to the main building of our farm.
Food will be provided by us (Adriana is also a chef :-)) or you can use the kitchen and cook for yourself.
We can provide you with food (breakfast, lunch) or you can also use the kitchen to cook your own food.
We don´t offer any payment.
We're located 45 min away from the airport in Bahias de Huatulco and one hour of the beaches of Huatulco and is reachable by shared taxis ("colectivos"), by van or by regular taxis. The farm is about 10 min away from the small village of Pluma Hidalgo where you can find some coffee shops and small stores. There's also a beautiful waterfall that you can reach by foot.
Please note that Pluma Hidalgo is located in the mountains and it is significantly colder here (around 20°C during the day, 10-15°C at night) than at the coast. Please bring appropriate clothing.
